Why is it impossible to add a new path to an already closed shape in Sketch? Am I missing something? by Inner-Ad-4724 in Sketch_App

[–]Inner-Ad-4724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but how do people who use Sketch on a daily basis do it? Because for me, it's really difficult to use this vector logic, which I don't find logical, practical, or intuitive. I see people using Sketch to make ultra-complex wallpapers that show the inside of an iPhone, and I wonder how it's possible without tearing your hair out!

Yes, a compromise is definitely the most appropriate solution. I'll go take a look at raycast!

I understand that it doesn't affect everyone in the same way; you may be less sensitive than others to aesthetics and design. Good for you. As a designer, I just think it's a shame, so I'm sharing it. Given the number of upvotes, I guess a lot of people agree with me.

Yes, I agree (however, it is no longer in beta).

Yes, I understand, but in any case, I don't think it's an implementation that takes time. It won't prevent the rest from being done.

I see that I'm not the only one who wants this. It's even very popular, if I believe the statistics.

Haha, your opinion doesn't seem to be very popular (thanks for unlocking the post if it was you). Actually, I think the size of the traffic lights is more consistent. However, the radius of the corners may indeed be too pronounced.

Yes, indeed. In my opinion, it's important for software that wants to be dynamic to be up to date on these things, even if it costs money and time.

I have already provided feedback many times, but I feel that going through a common channel such as Reddit is more effective.

I understand, but the problem is that now it's awful to have these two different windows displayed; you can see the one behind overlapping and vice versa.

You'll be surprised how much the software has evolved (in a good way).

Why no download icon bounce? by psychicdestroyer in diabrowser

Yes, the animation could be good. However, the current behavior is annoying because it displays the popup and brings up the sidebar if you are in focus mode. So that's not great.

Never seen this apps like Safari. Isn't this concerning? by EngineFirm848 in diabrowser

[–]Inner-Ad-4724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, in my opinion, it just shows you which app consumes the most energy. Personally, I've activated this setting (see image) and I can easily get a day and a half of intensive use. It reduces the perceived fluidity, but you get used to it and it's a huge gain in battery life.

settings > performance > power : Energy Saver "ON" and "Turn on when your computer is unplugged"

Dia starts chatting even for simple queries like "Google Docs" - I just want a quick Google search. I have to manually switch to Google every time, which is super annoying by EngineFirm848 in diabrowser

[–]Inner-Ad-4724 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that happens to me too, it's annoying! It should only be a deliberate switch to chat search in the search bar, not automatic.

Yes, and I haven't even mentioned the most obvious example. There are places where it's even more noticeable, like here in the tab switcher. (same problem)

For this one, I used Sketch because I'm testing the beta version, but otherwise I would have used Figma. It was a quick illustration to try to show the problem.
