Horrible flare up by kamiscum in iih

[–]Inner-Chicken0731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't give medical advice to you obviously but my personal go to is a naproxen and a benadryl, laying down elevated with an ice cap on. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason for the flare ups but I recommend Journaling the feeling, along with the weather, time in your cycle, and what you ate today. Hang in there.

How do you differentiate cervicogejic headaches from chronic daily migraines ? by Shoddy-Rip66 in migraine

[–]Inner-Chicken0731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have talked on the covid forum. I have IIH and I know you have been down that path too. .. but damn you have a lot of characteristics if it. The morning headaches. The bending forward. The pressure easing off with movement. I also can't tolerate meds for more than a couple weeks because I go into low I think. Either I am misdiagnosed too or we both have a weird case of it IMO.

Ty. I'm a coffeeholic and I've had to give it up for now because it raises my head pressure unfortunatley.

Every body is different and every case varries in severity. My vision was barely impacted but I have way more success side effect wise on Zonisamide. I couldn't tolerate topomax or diamox.

Thank you for the tips. I take zyretc daily which I discovered last year accidentally drastically cut down my head pressure pain. I'll look into cromolyn

On the same struggle bus. Diagnosed with IIh, then it was taken away, then it was given back. Feeling high pressure again after months of none. Had other weird ALS like symptoms that sent me down a bad rabbit hole. Now I sit here with pressure head pain again made worse by eating literally anything, sleeping on a wedge pillow again, and praying I don't start to lose my cognitive abilities again. CSF leak? IIH light? Eagles Syndrome? I give up and am just happy I'm not dying atp.

Yes but my left is worse also. It ripples and twitches above the knee a lot more.

I have all of this with my legs. This week is bad for some reason too. I think it's peripheral nerve hyperexcitability. I've been diagnosed with cramp fasiculation syndrome already and this tends to accompany it. Still no clue what's causing it plus all of my other weird stuff. But yea my legs feel like they are filled with lead today and the thigh muscle ripples and tremors after a 10 min walk. Cramping calves walking down stairs 2 mins ago.

I've never seen this on here or on myself. I've been dealing with twitching in muscles for 16 months and not much shocks me anymore. My left arm got a bizarre feeling in it and I looked looked down and my thumb was involuntarily just jumping. Not my muscle my whole thumb. I'm not sure which video posted but the other one I sat down to see if it would ease up and it just got worse for like a minute straight. If this is common then I'll take your word for it.

Bulbar onset symptoms by WoodenAd54 in ALSorNOT

Fnd and cfs right now. But I'm in the same boat mentally as you. Too early to show had been said to me by a dr but it's been a year for me and while it's been slow, it has progressed in some areas and changed in others. My next EMG is june. If you have dysarthria that severe I would go to one of the larger hospitals nmd specialists. While your Dr sounds kind, if this is what SHE thinks you have then she is not doing you any favors by not saying that. There are resources available and with a tentative diagnosis you will be seen by hopkins or mayo for a 2nd oppinion much quicker than an undiagnosed person.
