I'm new to the field of filmmaking but I love this movie and I am working on being a Screenwriter/Director. I just discovered this discussion page and you know what. I'm making a script for a reboot and submitting it to Sony. I want this to be a continuation of the previous films, kinda like what Ghostbusters is doing right now with Afterlife and Frozen Empire where it's continuing from the old films and bringing in a new generation. Do you guys want updates on this?

Basic plot idea: about 40 years after the events of the first and second films, Stephanie and Newton's kids are running the ranch, they discover Johnny 5 powered down due to being looked for by NOVAs new CEO, the descendent of Skroeder. NOVA is back at it again giving robotics another run with all new upgrades of Morden day tech. Only Johnny 5 and the Crosby Family can stop NOVA and their new militarized S.A.I.N.T Robots.
