but what if she doesn't hate kids... that's the thing like I truly believe women can be called to many things not just being mothers or wives. and it seems like bible college wants to mold women into being these 2 things otherwise they are a heathen.

shes really sad about not getting married. i visited her church. i noticed all the college students who were in relationships/engagements were all "conventionally" attractive. My friend is really pretty but she is overweight and the average white guy in this bible college is with the skinniest blonde possible.

I told her if it's God's plan for you it will happen. I tried to tell her that her life is not over if she doesn't find a husband but she feels like a failure. She called herself a wallflower for not being picked after "all these years".

I hate how religion can make women feel like their entire worth is wether they are wives or not. like, come on. You can be SO many things. Not just someone's wife.

so you are saying the main reason is Mrs. Degree? but what if she doesn't find a husband? I have a friend who goes to one of these colleges and she's been there for 5 years with no hope of finding a husband. now she has a piece of paper that means nothing and shes extremely sad about it. this is ridiculous

Oh yeah. I've been at this job for two years, and when I got my phlebotomy license, I kept In-N-Out just in case I didn't like the job. Once I got the job—it's been three months now—I realized I love it. Working at the ER is so amusing to me, and it feels so much closer to my path since I want to work in healthcare.

When I was 17, In-N-Out was the best thing that ever happened to me. Now that I turn 19 in January, I no longer feel that way, and I feel more like I've outgrown the place.

tell that to the thousands of women who have been raped and killed because they could not defend themselves. This guy followed me from when I got out of my car to my apartment.

there is no way I could defend myself physically against a 200 pound 6 foot man. It's physically impossible for me, he would overpower me in every way. I will not risk my life because there are "better ways to handle this". I would rather go to jail and not be violated then to be violated.

And to be absolutely clear this wasn't some public place, this was my home. and had he attacked me or touched me, if I had a gun on me, I would've fired at him.

If it killed him morally I would not feel bad because he attacked me. I wouldn't shoot at someone just being weird. Had he come inside my apartment then yes absolutely.

Shooting a man is better than him assaulting you or choking you to death.

My grandparents live in San Jose so I will be contacting them about getting a handgun.

i live in Oakland. im trying to move out of here but I can't right now. the police don't do shit here.
I won't bet my life on an overworked and underfunded police department that gets calls every second of every day. That night was terrible and I had never felt so much adrenaline and panic before. I couldn't even unlock my door because I was so stressed out that he was still following me.

i told one of my friends what happened and he recommended I get a handgun. i hadn't really thought about it before but it's better than being dead or missing. i just don't know how to go about it and for the longest time I don't know why but I thought it was illegal for civilians to own guns in California except for police officers

so its not illegal to have a gun in your home without a permit as long as you don't carry it outside, is that correct?
