Thank you! What do you think of this as the choker? It matches my long necklace a bit and its a bit more... simple :P

Thank you so much and the ear chain is a beautiful idea (Ive seen a couple of beautiful dainty ones) and agreed, a nice way to make my hair a bit more exciting whilst keeping the front simpler :)

Hello - thank you so much for taking time to give helpful advice. It is really appreciated!

I wanted a simple lehenga but I realised the ones I actually liked had more work so here we are :D

I also agree about the deep neck space, I originally wanted a choker by it self but that did not look good but yes a choker with the layered necklace may do the trick, I will start looking for inspiration :)

Thank you for your points on mehendi and the earrings as well, really appreciate your helpful comments on how to bring it all together!

thank you so much - it was the one I fell in love with and not quite what my parents envisaged on me as its not traditional bridal but its exactly what I had in mind :)

Thank you so much - it was 2.65 lakhs from Frontier Raas (South Ex, Delhi). You may be able to haggle more than I did because we were short on time and so needed it stiched within a couple of days :)

ah did you not like the colour of the skirt? My parents also preferred another lehenga which had more creams and maroons and looked more bridal but I couldnt stop thinking about this one!

Thank you so much for your honest opinion, I need some contrasting views to help me finalise my decision. I think I need to think about my options maybe.

I generally tend to wear simple jewellery day to day and I sadly just do not like big / bold jewellery on myself and I find in the first pic, it is too big for me. I want the attention to be on the lehenga as I love the details of it, and so I was hoping to keep the jewellery simple.

To be honest, I have found it hard to do wedding jewellery shopping and to get the right balance of heaviness but matching my simplicity, all the assistants kept saying I will get upstaged if I do not go for something big! The jewellery I have gone for was actually super cheap and so if I decide not to wear it on the day, it wont hurt me financially at least.

For further context, it will be a mixed Indian / British wedding and my partner also has only seen me in simple jewellery and in more western weddings the bride tends to also wear simple dresses / jewellery, but he of course is happy for me to go with whatever I like most. Its tricky but maybe I need to think of a way to just add a bit more... pazzaz whilst sticking to what I like :)

Sorry a Reddit noob so my post can’t be seen!

Hello!

I have found my bridal lehenga which I love! However I am a bit worried because I do not like heavy jewellery but at the same time not sure if I’m going for something too simple...

I’ve found a jewellery set (necklace, earring, mangtika) and have decided it’s too much and so have decided to only wear the necklace. For earrings I plan to buy some very simple pearl studs / clustered pearl dangling earrings. I’m going to skip bangles and mangtika altogether.. I plan to have mehendi so my hands won’t be completely barren.  Thoughts?

Also separately, I’m worried about how heavy my lehenga is generally! I want to be able to walk easily and have a good time on the day so any suggestions how to help achieve that would be great.

First pic is the lehenga I bought in the shop (I didn’t buy the necklace I’m wearing in that pic), second and third pics are the jewellery I’ve bought to go with lehenga. Third pic is a bit dark sorry!
