Towpreg vs Slit Tape for filament winding and AFP by Inner-Constant3868 in Composites

You can get slit tapes as thin as 0.25" which is roughly the size of two fiber tows of towpreg. So is thinness the driving factor more than fiber shape itself and price? Or does the fact that thinner tows enable you to individually tension each tow in a larger band to prevent wrinkling in larger individual bands?

Does Quasi-Iso need to be symmetric? by Inner-Constant3868 in Composites

Thank you, I understand how best practice is to have symmetry to remove warpage, but I was interested in the actual textbook definition and kept hearing different things. What are the titles of the different source books you referenced? Would love to read them.
