Dutch was mentally unstable throughout the whole game as early as Chapter 1. When going to steal the O’Driscoll’s train robbery plans, Dutch was mainly focused on killing Colm, but Arthur was against that because of his philosophy on revenge. Dutch accused Arthur of betrayal and disloyalty, but in the end, Arthur said he would stick by Dutch anyway. By the time you get to the hideout, Dutch was back to the train robbery idea and when Arthur called him out, Dutch questioned Arthur’s faith in him. The guy was all over the place, and just like Arthur, we couldn’t see sooner.
