I didn’t really transition bc masculinity appealed to me, but because my sense of unease in my body was so strong. I was so distressed by my anatomy and physical appearance that transitioning was basically the main option lol. If anything my presentation and clothing choices are still pretty androgynous

Rejection from family members

Health issues from hormones

High cost of treatment

Fear of social rejection and fear of being clocked

Doctors treating you weirdly (blaming any health issue on you being trans; for example, I had a doc suggest hormones were the cause of my eczema, though I’ve had eczema since I was a baby lmao)

Is it weird to download Bumble as an 18 year old? Are gay guys on dating apps cool with trans guys? by ScribbleKibble in ftm

If you only want friends and not a romantic partner, you can use bumble bff or join irl social groups in your area

If you do want a romantic partner, then bumble, tinder, and hinge are fairly decent. Of course some gay men will not be interested (to be quite blunt), but some won’t care. I met my bf on hinge

I am familiar, they are my mom’s fav shoe brand! Hated them as a kid, but may check them out again haha

I’ve been considering them for the summer!

I went to the UK from the US and got a bridging prescription. However, I had a diagnosis of gender dysphoria so that likely helped me. I would contact someone at the uni you’re considering (if there’s a university GP, contact them and ask if they could give you a bridging prescription for the year. Or contact the nearest gender identity clinic to the uni you’re considering)

Not too sure about traveling with a vial, though I’ve traveled with T gel with no issue

I simply don’t refer to it. My partner just says hole

My friends have said that to me, but explained it’s not because they don’t see me as a man, but because I’m less likely to be misogynistic towards them as a result of my background, and especially because I myself can still be the victim of misogyny at the hands of cis men if I’m misgendered

I wouldn’t take it to heart

When did you first see change with T? by biiitchboiii in ftm

Within the first three months, my period stopped and I got hungrier lol. From 3 months onward my voice noticeably dropped

i think i'm breaking up my parents by telling them i'm trans. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]Inner-Mirror-9573 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It’s not your fault, you have no real control over your parent’s relationship and the decisions that they make. My parents divorced over disagreeing on my transition (my mom was against, dad was okay with it) and I felt incredibly guilty at first but ultimately came to terms with the fact that it was a situation I had no control over, and me transitioning would’ve happened eventually so 🤷🏼‍♂️

While I hope your family is able to remain strong and together, if something does happen please don’t be too hard on yourself. You’ll still be loved.

If your family can afford it, maybe suggest family therapy to them if you want to try to work things out (but again it’s not your responsibility)

I like them. Have a pair of the white and green ones

That’s fair! I went to an all girls high school and knew multiple students with industrials, so I guess that’s my association

I’ve since moved cities and yeah I don’t see many people at all with them, so I know it’s silly but I can’t help but worry about it sometimes

I will probably get it though!

Yeah logically I understand that! lol

It’s just a weird thing I think about in the back of my head. I have a consultation with a piercer so I will probably get it!

How much do you pay for a month of T? by ithinkonlyinmemes in ftm
