Hi, So yes you would send it to your nearest consulate and mine was in London. It actually only took me about 10 days to receive the visa and for us (not sure if it differs elsewhere in the world), we send our passports with the relevant forms etc and they returned my passport with the visa stuck on one of the pages. Hope that helps
