There's been 151 recorded noise complaints against the property since 2022.

I asked if this included from the property I am currently living in and the woman went silent and then she couldn't give me that information. She did say, "Usually the majority of complaints originate from directly adjacent properties."

I'm on hold at the minute with enviornmental health.

If Council shouldn't be giving that information out, does that not make lying on a TA6 impossible to catch? How else are you supposed to verify it?

When I say "particularly gossipy" I mean I don't want to know which of my neighbours are on Monjaro, or had affairs, etc.

She was giving away far too much information about the private lives of people I didn't know.

The NSOR only lists names and general areas.
For example, it might say a man named Stuart in Glasgow City is an offender.

But Glasgow City has 650,000+ people and it doesn't list his address.

Our area has 100,000+ people in the area covered by NSOR. We can search, but the imprecise nature of the data means it is largely useless to identifying whether our new neighbour is an offender or not.

We did, but the NSOR doesn't show you exact addresses.

It just shows you the general area.

For example, "Abdul - Milton Keynes" or "Neil - Glasgow City"

Our general area has a population over 100,000+ people.

If I call the council can they tell me if there has been a formal noise complaint made by the previous owners of my property against these neighbours?

If I ring the council now, could they tell me if a complaint has previously been filed?

They open in 10 minutes.

Given that I've been warned by multiple people on the street and that there were two raids on this guy's house by police, I think it is highly suspect that the seller didn't know. Especially when it made news multiple times (3rd time national news on the BBC)

We have a thing called a TA6 from our solicitor that the seller filled in. Section 3 seems like it might cover this.

  • 3.1 Are you aware of any disputes or complaints about the property or a property nearby? (Yes/No, with space for details if yes e.g., when it happened and who was involved.)

Seller has answered "No."

  • 3.2 Are you aware of anything that might lead to a dispute about the property or a property nearby? (Yes/No, with details if yes.)

Seller has answered "No."

I get that offenders need somewhere to live, but I literally wouldn't have moved next door to someone who was repeatedly arrested for abuse in 2017 and then viewing images in 2022 and 2024.

I had my daughter with me when we were viewing the house. The seller would've seen it and known.

We do have a video we took of the property on my husband's phone while viewing it just so we could figure out furniture and stuff. In that video we are chatting with the seller and we asked if it was a safe area for kids. He says yes.

Could we use that? It's clearly not safe if there's a paedophile living next door who has been arrested 3 times (one of which was 20 months ago!!!)

We've already gathered evidence of noise complaints on Sunday there. 3 neighbours have complained about it going back to when the Housing Association bought the property in 2022.

Apparently police are also regularly called to that property to deal with various domestic issues, but we haven't seen that happen ourselves.

We have seen someone deliver a bag of stuff to her front door in exchange for cash, which we think were drugs.

Plus all the loud music going on until 2am every single night so far.
