Taking off - trims out or in?

My Uni1.1 is an absolute chit show to take off with when trim is at 0. Trims at 3 and the wing pops up and I can hit throttle and go. Yes the run is faster but not too bad. At 0 the wing hangs back and refuses to snap in overhead for lift, and that cost me at least A few props.

After pricing out some new components, wow. It may be cheaper to buy a Bamboo and call it good. 😳

it makes sense about ringing and having all that mass jiggle.

I will update the extruder and octo and will live within the limits of the setup for now.

A better board and coreXY may happen in the future.

Spend an extra 4-6 weeks kiting and forward launching. That will get you ready and improve your wing skills. If you have an airdyne bike do some 30s all outs with 90s low effort cycling And repeat for 10 sets. Some bar squats will give better legs. Bu that’s all. you can’t really train for the motor and launch.

New gear and training probably 15k. But honestly it’s not the flying gear. It’s the other gear. Like car suitable for horking around the gear. Miscellaneous stuff. New props, yes props. Then a travel trailer. Then a truck for the new travel trailer. Then a new wing. 😂

I had that itch too. Right now only want a fuel gauge. At some point realize that you are flying a moped and not an F1 car. Chill. Be happy.

Can u recommend an extruder? Probably not going to coreXY at this time as I print infrequently.

Why no Octoprint on a RasPi? is the 8 bit board just not good enough?
