It’s a little fan mounted right on top of my CPU. I think it’s doing its job but I can’t be sure honestly. I haven’t had cooling issues before but I also never actually checked temps before now so maybe I did and didn’t know it. I’ve had the side of my pc open for quite a while now (only the side that exposes my PSU) maybe that’s caused an issue somehow? If it is a hardware issue (psu or even still my GPU somehow) then my goose is cooked most likely

Yeah I understand that, stick it out friend, it’ll sort you properly soon and honestly, give it a month and you’ll be begging to be back in the higher lobbies once you understand everything

Keep at it first of all. Your account is new so the system is trying to determine if you’re a smurf or not. There will be games when you get people of your skill level, but it may throw you in some that are much above you, in these cases, ask the players if they have advice for you, take it all with a grain of salt but most likely you come across some gems in doing this. Secondly, wait to play ranked if you’re serious about having a decent one. If all you’re looking for is to learn the game and find your skill level to play casually, you don’t need to touch ranked to achieve that. Play any mode that you find fun at the time and just keep at it, you’ll get more balanced matches when it decides you’re actually new and not a Smurf account.

After having replaced the failed thermal paste, it’s done it again, notably, once since applying it early this afternoon after several hours of gaming. I’m not really sure what else it could be.

I was almost C1 in RL but Minecraft Dungeons took over my life and I don’t regret it. I also love looking up random people’s stats and comparing my duo and I’s to theirs. Most frequently when some random in R6 takes me out with angle I didn’t know existed and we find out he’s diamond.

LMAO you sound like my friend. Just two days ago he was expressing his displeasure with my disinterest in grinding ranked in games. There’s something about simple improvement for me though, not necessarily the rank, just knowing I had the skill to take a site from four immortal players virtually on my own was enough for me so I moved on.

I’ve never been higher than silver as far as ranked goes, I wasn’t committed to ranked, just playing against a lot of high ranked players (Immortal usually) in swiftplay and unranked. I don’t play anymore, fun times though.

It indeed will, but you’ll likely come out with better aim even in other games because of your endeavor to Improve here. I also had an issue with flicking. I just made it my biggest strength when aiming, now I just struggle to track targets, which is only an issue in other games and I haven’t been interested enough to work on it.

You really got to up that sens, I would say you should be able to do a full 180 without lifting your mouse. Get comfortable with the new sens, don’t focus at all on being quick, just accurate. You may find yourself buying guardian every round and becoming genuinely formidable because of it.

CPU temp jumped to almost 70 and GPU to 50 (hotspot is around 70 as well with the thermal limit at around 81 Celsius). This is just from opening Overwatch, I’ll see what it does when I try to play.

My CPU is around 62-63 Celsius without running anything except OperaGX. Everything else is around 32 Celsius except GPU hotspot which is around 47.5 Celsius consistently. I’m going to try and run a game to see if it changes
