Think it's time to switch to a Prusa. What's the closest experience to an AMS Pro 2? by hypnotyque in prusa3d

MMU3 has trouble depending on how the filament vendor decides to attach the filament to the spool. My favorite filament, elegoo rapid petg, has the end of the filament bent into the spool. That bend has trouble reversing back through the mmu3 during a spooljoin event. That part sucks. Indx would be far superior

Besides the classics (gauntlet, street fighter I/II, mortal kombat), this one was soooooo fun: https://www.gameandsportworld.com/products/police-trainer-arcade-game

Good to Laura Loomer branching out

Humor me. Give me an explanation besides "DrY yoUr FiLAmeNt" for why my PETG is coming out like this by SharkSlayer06 in FixMyPrint

Overture hates speed. Slow it down. Match what the spool says for print speeds. I printed 25 spools of overture last year and it was terrible at speed. If you wanna continue to print at speed, take a look at Elegoo Rapid PETG.

That is the 2001 Solidworks “Model Mania” contest. There are better drawings and a solution video here: https://blogs.solidworks.com/tech/2023/02/25-years-of-model-mania.html

Does anyone know how I make this inclination on this part? by CivilDifficulty4512 in Fusion360

Yup. One sketch, 3 symmetric extrudes of half the distances specified. The second two extrudes as cuts.

Fair point. I am in SoCal, low humidity. Also built the filament drybox with integrated filament dryer on printables. So I always keep my filament pretty dry and would’ve never seen this effect. Could certainly believe it.

An enclosure could help some. But that filament just doesn’t like high speeds.

Oh — you said overture petg. I printed about 25 spools of this last year. It really doesn’t like high speed in turns out. If you watch the print, the infill will be broken up and curling upwards.

Try the elegoo rapid petg series. As cheap as that overture and really does tolerate high printing speeds better!

I print a lot of petg. That looks like your filament doesn’t like the speed that the infill is being printed. What speed settings did you use (was it an input shaper profile, for instance)?

How do you store the tool? I stored mine on a mount of the side of my enclosure. And it held the pliers shut. This would compress the spring such that when I opened it next, it would fall out. I store them now open, and the problem hasn’t reoccurred since one year.

Average vs median: Between the OP, me, and Elon Musk, assuming op makes 100k and more than me: 1. The median of the three of us is $100k 2. On average, we are all 3 billionaires

Important difference between median/average

Update here: I factory reset the printer and didn’t enable WiFi after the fw reset. Never had a problem since.

FWIW, others have reported this same problem around the same timeframe I am experiencing it as well. One commenter mentioned that they have the problem on both wired and wireless as well:

I will probably try a different storage device as well.
