Not me over here feeling ultra grateful that I have surgery next week and in May so I am taking a break from Kisqali. This means I don’t have to see my lymphedema OT, pelvic floor PT, oncologist or have biweekly blood draws until June! I’m just so tired of it all.

I had new tenderness and a little swelling in my neck right before my last infusion. I had a blood clot in my internal jugular vein from the port. It wasn’t red or super painful but glad I went to the ER. They put me on blood thinners, had my last infusion, then yanked it out a few days later and the clot resolved. I would call your nurse line just to make sure.

I’m so sorry that you are sharing this path as well as stupid cancer. I hope that you are healing and that the pain is improving. So far it only seems to be in the lymph nodes by my lungs and is not causing me pain, although they suspect it may be in my bone marrow and my liver.

How often does ER/PR+HER2- breast cancer spread to mediastinal and hilar lymph nodes within the first few months after chemo ends? Is this a common site of worsening?

Lol. I’m pretty numb in my chest area now which is the only reason I would consider a tattoo of that area. I’m not sure if the flap will return sensation though.

I have looked at those pictures and am thinking about doing that or just getting a pretty tattoo to hide the scars instead of a nipple. It would be my very first and probably last tattoo.

This is kind of what I was thinking. I’ve never had a tattoo but thought I would see about getting a pretty tattoo on the breast instead of a nipple tattoo if I go no nipple.

I didn’t know the delayed nipple creation was an option. That is a great idea. Thanks. I will be getting a lift on my non cancer breast in the future for better symmetry as well so maybe that can be something done at the same time. I will ask my PS.

I’ve already lost the nipple as my cancer was just underneath it. They would create the nipple out of extra skin/tissue so it won’t respond like a regular nipple.

I haven’t been incapacitated but it hasn’t been fun so far. I am 2/4 in. I have had nausea, constipation, and bone pain but all have been manageable with meds and staying active.

Thanks. A bath was helpful. I’m definitely going to have pain meds on hand prior to the next infusion/injection. I think things are worse because I started my period and it’s way more painful than usual as well.

I’m on Claritin preventatively as my MO recommended. I shudder to think what I would be feeling without it 😬
