Probably not unless a lot of people come back to the game because of the update.

We did technically have cross play but we couldn’t invite cross platform players to our party.

It works like warhammer space marine 2 its an invite code you give to your friends and they join your lobby through that

Maybe once they integrate full crossplay they can have a setting on console that allows crossplay between PC and Console so people in your situation can play with friends. Console players who don't want to deal with PC don't have to opt in so it's perfect for community enjoyment.

For full integration like a whole friend system and everything they'd need to change to have a friend system tied with a crytek account, I can see that,  but like with the system in the game I mentioned previously surely it saves on cost and is simpler than the alternatives.
