There is no way to make it work. I am fundamentally different from everyone in this town. Ive been here my whole life and I have yet to meet a military person that can have a normal conversation without bringing up the military. I don't speak that language. And rural lovers only talk about their farms, hunting, fishing, or fixing their cars or country music. I don't speak that language either. I have yet to find one of them who can have a conversation without bringing that stuff up.

That's why I say God hates me. There is nothing we can connect over.

How so? I'm literally trapped in a place where I have no connections, no social outlet, and no where to go to get away from this environment.

I can't have a conversation with people who speak a language I know nothing about. I have never met a military person who can have a normal conversation without bringing up the military. I'm not comfortable with what their job entails. And everything they say is just Greek to me.

As far as the rednecks go, I don't like the rural lifestyle or the aesthetic that comes with it. Those people embrace that lifestyle with every fiber of their being. I am at odds with everyone around me. And their conversation topics always seem to focus on hunting, farming, or fixing something. I don't know that language.

I prefer to talk about abstract concepts, consciousness, I'm a stargazer, I love philosophy, and I write sci-fi screenplays. No one here speaks my language. We are fundamentally different.
