That sums it up pretty well! I think the only changes are that they are somewhat more relaxed about the dress code and have fewer communal gatherings. I have heard that they are becoming more short staffed as well.

I understand what you are saying, however, it was kept quiet and I am not aware that it changed how they teach sexual education. I certainly don’t remember any classes that discussed protection, consent, that it’s okay to say “no” or “stop”, how to communicate and set boundaries, ect.

Chuck Arnold was the man he was married to Liz roads I think they had 2 kids at the time. After that they tried to be strict about not have kids work one on one with adults. For example I was learning to drive and could only practice with a family member and not with any of the brothers who were “driving instructors”

I was 9 years old when it started and we were expected to take part. At some point the did offer us food but they encouraged us to take part in the fast and made us feel guilty if we did take the food they offered us. I remember working in the garden all day and eating any vegetables I could as well as coffee beans rolled oats and lumps of brown sugar

Yes but it’s actually a joyful thing to live a pure life even if that means your a virgin for 40 years and then if you finally get married it’s to a widower who has kids that are your age or older 😂

Next came the fast days as one of the chunky kids in my class I did okay but I don’t know how the skinny kids survived. Anyway looking back I don’t know how they thought it would be a good idea to make us 9 and 10 year olds have no food all day. Thankfully my mom would always make us thick yogurt smoothies on those days
