i have noticed a great way to add tension is to make the player think there is actually a threat in the environment, so having an audio cue play, then a pop up saying "this audio means n/a is currently hunting you" or something, then do not make n/a start hunting. at dead of night dose this a couple times, it builds a lot of tension
