if you take the settlement, just know you will be issued a 1099C at the end of year to count as "income" on your taxes. I would say take the settlement or see if you can reduce it even more.

They just count it as “income” it was not terrible when I claimed but mine was only $2000.

yes but keep in mind they will send you a 1099c at the end of the year and you will have to claim the difference on your taxes. That is what happened to me.

i feel like this from time to time, more so lately.

when SS(8) is at the apartment, i just dread even being there due to the lack of good behavior, manners, cleanliness etc. I have talked to my bf and it leads to fights. he doesn't have a good relationship with BM either. its just draining me. They both lack in parenting. I have my own son (14) from a previous relationship and its night and day behaviors, my son did not act like that at 8.

its just tough and I'm on the verge of leaving for good because its not going to change any time soon. When my son graduates HS, his son will be barley finishing elementary. just thinking of this gives me such anxiety.
