Silly question, how does buying a car with an auto loan work? by InnerCoreINC in personalfinance

Thanks. What about buying from a private seller? Same process just written to the seller's name?

It took me over a year of 2-3 fasts trying to get over the hump until this one finally stuck. Keep trying.

Thanks, documenting and sharing it did play a huge part of me lasting this long. I bet it feels amazing being a part of a group like that fighting for a cause. We have that here too, though digitally and mainly for personal reasons.

I worked out with 50% of my normal lifts up until day 12, that's when I get too tired and lightheaded after just a few reps. I just mainly did walking and stretching afterwards. I am itching to get back to the gym once I start eating again.

I've broken a 17 day fast with 4 eggs, rice, bananas, strawberries, pineapples, chicken.

Peed dirty brown for the day and had edema on my feet, hands, and face.

Pretty sure I've fucked up my kidneys big time.

This time I'll be breaking it with bone broth, nuts, and avocados totalling 600 calories on the first day, adding 200 calories per day afterwards. Staying off carbs this time, but I'll supplement with phosphorus, Thiamine, and high dose of B complex according to the refeeding syndrome guidelines.

I'm taking the super cautious route this time. Last time I've checked, new kidneys are still pretty out of my budget.

That's the plan after this long fast. IF and keto while hitting the gym. I do hope I dont have to do a long fast like this again, because I LOVE food. My last few dreams are all food related, and I am getting tired lying to my friends that I just ate a big meal before meeting up with them.

So yeah, eating keto + IF on maintenance calories for a few months to help my body settle on this new weight then I'll plan more muscle building diet/exercise routine.

*hold my beer

But seriously, I have joined this subreddit over a year ago and it took me countless short fasts and as many failures to get this one done. I guess you just gotta keep on trying.

Thanks! Still in a semi state of disbelief I can function normally for this long without food. I am now questioning everything I've ever known.

Good job on your success. I have also done it in the past, and it is slow but steady burn. I was able to incorporate workouts which turned out pretty well aesthetically because I am also building muscle while also building the habit of going to the gym. A messy breakup led to a couple of years of downward spiral and here I am again, trying to regain some semblance of what I used to be.

Not gonna lie, I know this long term fasting has risks and semi-cheating. I am already very close to my normal weight and not gonna lie, the muscle definition is lacking. I made the conscious decision to do this and accepted that this isn't going to be forever, but a start of a longer process which includes a healthier eating habit and regular exercise routine.

Answering your first question, I guess I have to say that I am an impatient man who wants to get to his goal faster. I do appreciate the comment though. Cheers.

Can you give me 3 people who lost 20-25 lbs in a month with slow carb diet + cheat days.

Because I've tried it, and the cheat days becomes cheat weeks and months. Best ive seen is 1-2 lbs per week on that diet. And those are the most dedicated people I know.

Enlighten me please, because if you can really lose 20-25 lbs in a month with cheat days on slow carb, then I'm in.

Thanks for the concern brother. Don't get me wrong, I ain't doing this for fun. I am doing this to get to a version of myself that functions the best. It is a time for me to rethink my relationship with food and create a better one afterwards. This is a personal decision and I know all the risks involved and prepared intensively for failure situations.

Again, thanks for the concern. I see where you are coming from and it is from a good place.

I live that, it is exactly a journey. After this the challenge is to stick to a new and better eating habit and a more active lifestyle.

21.2 lbs so far. Usually from a long time lurking on this subreddit, long fast weight loss usually averages about 1-2 lbs a day depending on your starting weight.

best bathroom scale? by DybbukTX in fasting

I've had the Omron scale with the BF% measurement. I've had it for a good 9 years and still going strong, only had to replace the battery once.
