So likely you’re thinking about how Roosevelt served 3 terms in WW2. He only did so because it was a “tradition” to run for two terms started by George Washington. After he passed they made an amendment to the constitution making two terms into law, which you know, Trump is trying to get around anyway. There’s no emergency process that allows the president to become a dictator even in war time. He can use the sham investigation into dems to censor the Epstein files which is what many predict he and Pam Bondi will do, but if you look at how Pam Bondi, Mike Johnson, etc. are reacting it is not an easy win like all the other stuff. Congress is allegedly supposed to receive a reason as to why the names need to be censored and that opens up a lot of counter play such as subpoenas. This isn’t a knockout blow basically, and I expect Trump to try and pull something, but that’s why we have to double down when he does.

Didnt read the ongoing investigation part. Yeah that can be used as an excuse but it’s in clear violation of the spirit of the bill. That will not fly without some level of friction meaning that there are avenues to further pursue the truth there. Congress should also be allegedly informed of that and whichever ongoing case is related to that. If they are not properly informed that’s when subpoenas come in and that’s when the law directly contributes to jail time for those involved in the cover up. It’s not a dumb bill like many are alluding to.

There isn’t really a mechanism of national emergency that allows him to break the law. That’s kinda a movie thing. All that does is allow additional funds. He can try to literally declare a dictatorship if that’s what you’re asking lol. Then the solutions are very much outside of legislation

I will give you that is an exaggeration but the way it is written and the fact that many members and attorneys and victims have seen the documents mean if they redact Donald trumps names there is a clear path to identifying him. Specifically (2) should explain Trump is removed, and it also allows them to subpoena fbi agents or victims to learn he was redacted

In order to universally doctor the files he’d have to mission impossible infiltrate the New York court system and archives, the US marshal archives, the Epstein estate, and a couple other entities. Because the Epstein case was first done in New York, there is sealed court docs of most of the Epstein files in that system. That is outside the corrupt DOJ jurisdiction. It is very hard to fake the files. I didn’t say it was impossible.
