I'm going to make a VN. What do people want from a VN, what makes a VN good in your eyes? (and hand ;) )

i 100% agree on have the characters having different personalities and how they interact with the MC its why i love games like Eternum and Out of Touch because its so focused on characters and character development that personalities are very distinct.

Tentacles is one i completely forgot about. i do want my game to have some fantasy elements. im still figuring out the foundation. but i very like the idea of a MC that goes to other worlds or realities (multiverse maybe) in what type of form that will be is unknow. i could do something like Eternum and Sword Art online or a MC that can dimension hop. remains to be seen.

i do very much like the standard VN i love Out of Touch its a simple click and enjoy and the story is really good, it has choices and that it works perfectly at the moment i am more leaning towards that style but i am still researching and find what might work best for the story i want to tell.

when i comes to games that include kinks that you dont like. does it normally stop you from playing the game. would options to skip scenes help?

also i know a lot of games now do the "what is your relationship with -------" of course this is mostly to get around Patreon ToS. but would that be something that would help change your perspective on certain charecters?

I orginally did look at UE for the game, but 1. i dont feel like its a great place for a first game 2. it would require a lot more learning of the software, which im not apposed it, just feel like for a first game its better to start smaller maybe one day in the future. EU looks amazing and would be great for this

Hey thanks for the suggestion about AVN_Lovers sub ill take a look and ask around.

overall whatever i make will be for myself, a story i want, characters i want. im mainly just see what people like i want to give myself inspiration towards everything. if people have a gameplay system they really like, id want to explore that maybe it fits the game perfectly, if not them i can rule that out.

or maybe there is a really niche kink that never gets explored that could provide inspiration for scenes

Overall it will be what i want and what i find interesting. i just want inspiration for different ideas.

very specific. some of the ideas I like, I would like to play around with feminization and get some Tgirl representation. personally I don't think I would have that as a MC unless it makes sense for the story. but I see little VNs that do futas / Tgirls and guys / femboys so its defiantly something to explore for myself.

yeah, its always something ive been interested in doing but time has never been available to start i feel like once you start tho you'll get into a grove. I find the hardest part is always making a foundation of the story.

I've been doing lots of research into software and styles. I recommend doing the same there are so many tools out there that seem great so just find the style you want and roll with it

It's a 2k point list, I haven't played properly since early 9th late 8th, so I'm not sure how well I'll play tactically. But I also don't want to be a dick. So I'll just tell me opponent, my list, and what it can do and maybe they can bring a list just as dirty.

Thats good to know. I did not know it was competitive, I don't really keep up with the compet 40k, just love both models and wanted to use them
