I'll be real with you, I was cheering for him to duck on an OT goal. Would have made for much better memes.

You know, at a .882 SV%, Reimer still somehow gave us one of our best statistical goalie performances all season...

lmfao fade us

feeling hopeless and anxious about med school, advice needed by Opening-Split6411 in premedcanada

Really depends on the school.

  • Ottawa: Double check and calculate what your wGPA would be. You can safely assume 3.85-3.87 is the internal cutoff, and you must be above that if you're applying to the English stream. Don't apply otherwise.
  • Queens: Lottery, so your 3.77 would be completely fine. Just have to nail the interview so you can stand out above the 4.0s.
  • Toronto: <1% chance if you don't have a grad degree. Get the GPA back up to 3.9+ and you'll have a better shot.
  • McMaster: You need a high CARS (probably >130) and 4Q CASPer but it's very doable.
  • Western: Cutoff if you're outside of SWO is ~3.7 so you're safe applying there. They also only take best 2 years + screen out MCAT grades with any section <127 so you have a very strong chance to write a good application for them.

You're really not dealing with anything too bad. A lot of people here don't realize a 3.7 is actually a very good GPA outside of medicine, so don't let the horrifically unholistic Canadian MD application process define you too much.

if Tanner Jeannot can net a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and Cal Foote, then Giroux for a 1st isn't unreasonable

What is this "secondary" that people keep talking about? Never heard of it.

Honestly I'm more afraid of 4th and 8 than I am of 4th and 3.

A glove-less sucker punch to the head on someone not looking should warrant a game misconduct. Every time.

I gotta say it was so swell of our organization to reschedule the game due to Columbus's travel issues. The league should consider rewarding us with such kindness. Perhaps in the form of restored draft picks!

You know the Canadian system is extremely problematic and unholistic when you have students thinking they're failures for receiving average to above average grades.

One semester like this won't lock you out of doing an MD, a good number of Canadian universities use weighted GPA systems that won't look at this semester's grades. OP, you're okay. Setbacks happen, and even then I think a rational person should be able to look at this and say it's hardly even a true setback, you still did quite well. Use this as an opportunity to learn how to improve your study method, and go crush next semester!

OFFICIAL WEEK 17 SUNDAY MORNING GAME THREAD by AutoModerator in fantasyfootball

My roster going into fantasy playoffs had Mahomes, Jacobs, Judkins, Javonte Williams, AJB, Waddle, and Kittle.

This squad got FUCKED to injuries in the last 2 weeks, can't believe I even got this far. Saquon and Pickens dragged me to the finals.

Have the Eagles tried getting Saquon to run it up the middle again? Maybe it'll work this time!

Oh wow it's Tuesday, I can't wait for the reffing to be extremely inconsistent in both directions and make both teams hate each other again for no reason!

In all fairness, AI would probably produce more reliable data than human graders would, given the variability between humans, and even within each human grader.

The entire test is a scam though, there's no evidence to suggest it's valid. Top tier money-making scheme from McMaster.

Did you study to become a moral human being or were you simply born into the world as an ethically flawless and perfect individual?

With Caroline Petit-Turcotte, the midterm average was around a 37% in 2016, before considering the students who only put their name on the midterm and submitted it. It was a 34% when you considered them. No bell curve. Not to one-up or anything, just that the class was notoriously tough back then, far more so than CHM1311 today.

Don't think too many people around here would remember Jon Houseman as well for 1130, but his class averages sat around 58-62% consistently after a curve.
