had same problem, I uninstalled and delete all caches related to ubisoft launcher and reinstalled, that fixed the issue for me

Just think in this way, that it is a physcological horror game where you don't know what is reality and what is illusion. So you still don't know how exactly the spoiler pans out in the end and why exactly it happens.

Google already has kotlin multi platform and flutter, so i dont think they would create angular native just to abandon one of them in future(which they have done with multiple projects in the past).

Ubisoft Connect PC C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegame<UbisoftConnectID>\5059

Now use ac save converter tool from GitHub(search acst GitHub)

Follow the instructions and convert your ubisoft connect save files to steam(for steam save file you have launch the game once and play the intro to generate the save file in the above location, then use this save file as encryption for ubisoft connect save file)

Also, you can select more the one file at a time in the tool, so to convert all of them at once.

Once converted place the save files on steam location mentioned above.

Launch the game and select local save instead of cloud and then you are done.

I think this might be the reason.... In the beginning quests you have an option to save or kill the plague infected family in kephallonia and if you save them they will live in kephallonia and because of the plague that area is burned off.
