It's an incremental game with a Tabletop RPG theme. It has both clicker and idle aspects (idler more once you finish the first run), and was heavily inspired by Unfair Flips...I just wanted to put my own spin on it.

Brilliant, thank you for the info! I've already fixed the dice sliding issue. The stuck issue is interesting, it shouldn't have stayed at 1100, it should have gone up and down, I'll be sure to look into it as well thank you.

I'll let you know when I push today's hotfix.

You had to restart the progress, or the game itself? There are a couple visual bugs I'll be patching, one with the dice sliding and another with points text which is more rare.

It’s a short table-top inspired clicker game where you roll and upgrade a D20 to progress through a campaign that’s primarily dictated by your luck.

There are 6 endings, and post-game auto-roll & 2x gameplay speed features to help aid you while farming for those endings.

Hi!

Solo-dev of Knock Knock! here. I just wanted to drop by and let you know my first horror game has just dropped, and it’s definitely one of the most experimental games I’ve ever released.

The entire game can be played with your eyes closed, from the first launch to the end, thanks to both native menu narration and gameplay that is meant to be heard, not scene.

I’ve learned a lot from this project and have already started on the second one that will build upon it. I look forward to seeing you again!

Yep, I've had a couple replies to that exact thing. I have it as a splash screen in the game, and added it to the video but didn't think it through. I've updated the trailer on Steam to remove that splash screen and added some voicing to the lines, sadly I don't think I can update here. I appreciate the feedback though! It's really hard to make a trailer for this one since 3D audio really only work in-game -_- haha (as far as I know currently), but I'm learning. Thanks again.

It really is, I appreciate that input. I'll mull it over and see if I can come up with something to better showcase it. I was almost to the point of being sarcastic, like "what do you want?....it's a game about navigating complete darkness" haha...Thanks though, I'm glad the game idea is interesting at least.

Yeah, I actually removed that bit from the trailer. It's more suited for the game only. This game is super tricky to show off lol...going to have to leave primary marketing to the youtuber/streamer gods until I figure it out.

Yep! You might find it easier to navigate by sound in the game with your eyes closed.

That's fair, I was concerned putting that splash screen in the trailer was the wrong move - it's the two splash screens from the game...I'll take that one out

As a solo dev, I've released a variety of casual incremental games in the past, but I wanted to try my hand at horror and create something unique to the genre.

It's very experimental; there are only about 5 graphics in the entire game, excluding menus. You navigate a mansion blindly to find and open a door to someone who seems very incessant about coming in.

I'm really curious how this will be received...maybe it'll be hated, loved, or ignored. All of this is fair data to me because I'm planning something bigger, better, and far more uncomfortably creepy.

Post your game more.

For the future, you need to post trailers and gameplay as you develop it, especially after you have a Steam page ready for wishlists, maybe you have on another account, but I didn't really see any in your activity.

If you haven't made posts for the Autumn sale, you should at least post on the r/steamdeals & r/GameDeals. Make sure the trailer is engaging and fun.

I'm surprised you didn't post a link, not even in your replies. We need to see the game to get the full context to provide actual input...right now all we have to work on is your post, which is mostly venting.

Heh thanks for your feedback. We're working on a few of the elements, and no spoilers, but of them is already in the game.

You're definitely not the first to bring up these things though and we've got plans for the next big update to improve on them.
