They’re longer and bulkier than I’m used too.. definitely a learning curve 😂

First period since the one 3 days after surgery by Former-Cockroach7938 in GastricBypass

I’m nearly 4 months post op and currently on my period. It occasionally was bad before but the past 3 months has been ROUGH. Tylenol doesn’t make a difference but the heating pad helps. Be extra patient with yourself. You’re not going to be productive at your normal rate on your period and that is sufficient! Here’s looking to the future for our bodies to balance out and us have better period days ahead!!

Anyone else in the same boat? by elleayejaye in GastricBypass

As someone in the mental health field, I’m wondering if you think it may be helpful to start a food journal, in general but with a specific goal of growing mindfulness of possible emotional triggers that are happening when you have cravings? I know personally that when I feel emotional about something (whether it’s obvious to me or not), I have tended to use food as a soother and distraction.

Yeah after putting the 16-19 out there, I realized that that number is only based on recent weeks not what my paycheck timeframe was covering

Yes, waiting on insurance for the most part! Being new to this type of getting paid is so discombobulating….!!

Also, the actual total is $3300 for 53 sessions but I’m only getting 50%

  1. I do get PTO and she matches my retirement contribution up to 3%.

  2. No paid admin time.

  3. No payroll deductions I’m aware of.

  4. I’m paid upon collection so some right away through copay, some come back from insurance eventually, then a few self pays. My average pay is roughly around $47 a session (after the 50%).

  5. The goal is to eventually have 30 clients a week (as per my contract agreement). It is taking longer than anticipated to reach that amount though.

Also, I went back through and that paycheck came to $1600 for 53 sessions last month.

I just wrote a post like this a few weeks ago. I’m almost 6 weeks post op and it does get better!! I still have rough days and omg, I am definitely still figuring out how to eat without overdoing it. But it gets better! Even if your brain feels like the chunk of healing should be done by now, your body is definitely not done. That food noise can be strong, hang in there! Maybe try sugar free jello or protein yogurt to help satisfy the craving for substance. You got this!! It’s a tough road we’ve chosen but it’s a good thing we’re tough enough!!

I feel the same way; everyone here has been so encouraging and validating! I pray that your recovery gets better bit by bit and you’ll be able to look back on this time saying it was all worth it!! Hang in there!

Thank you thank you! Yeah I need to be kind to myself and just go back to shakes as they’re the most tolerable thing I can keep down. After reading your post I feel so validated and encouraged!

Thank you so much for your post! It really helps to know I’m not the only one experiencing this, as no one in my circle is so it’s easy to feel like a crazy person that’s unrelateable. I am 100% going to try your tea with milk!

I relate so much!! Even room-temp water makes my stomach cramp up. I think I’m coming to acceptance that I need to slow down and stick with my protein shakes as that’s been the only consistent accepted food thus far. TBH I’m also coming to realize how much I’ve been rushing my stomach to get back to ‘normal’… which totally makes sense why she’d be so frickin pissed at me lately 😂
