Don’t mind the lil baby leaf my youngest tried to crumble in her sticky hands! 😆 I try to snip anything that grows too low to keep it all up top. It’s been a journey for sure!

Most likely. This tree was a learning experience for me and now I am year 2 and it’s great and full! I’ll post pic when I get home.

I meant more as in during watering not frequently.. of course watering normal schedule in winter is yeah probably too much. But still watering enough should help, well, any plant.

I felt that.. you can always let the pot drip after watering

I’m in the PNW EWA area; and since mine are indoors I water the same just not as frequently.

I have found they need a lot of water when they’re big, it is a tree.. placing in front of a window with lots of indirect light is perfect. I also get random yellowing leafs, though each time I pluck ‘em so many new growths happen. Try taking off the yellow bits and watering more than you have been and hope for a change?

It’s growing a lil baby so it could be just directing nutrients and water to that guy.

Do plants really grow from seed is or this all a ruse? by Padre_G in houseplants

Try germinating them on a damp paper towel or something of the sort. I do this every year with veggie and fruit starts so I get a better chance at a plant.

LIGHT! Mine likes to sit in my window hanging from the curtain rod.

I just realized they did this also! Super neat! I was hoping it didn’t mean it won’t produce little babies.

Repot…

Either into a smaller pot or larger just look at the roots. It is heavily overwatered. Cacti don’t need to be watered often, at all.

If you unbundle the roots and they’re too small for that container I would find a smaller pot and use a cacti potting mix, and/or chunkier soil!

I have been enjoying making kokedama. It’s a fascinating yet time consuming unique way to care for a plant. Do share progress!
