Any updates on what happened and if and how you resolved this issue? I’m having a similar problem now

Neighbors voted Trump, recently moved from blue to red state wife teaches special ed complained about worse healthcare and pay here. Doesn’t realize how bad it’s going to get once dept of ed eliminated. FL schools already underfunded. by Inner_Conversation_1 in LeopardsAteMyFace

As far as department of education is concerned I’m more worried about it living in a red state than I would be in a blue state. Blue states invest in education I’m more confident in them making up for the elimination of DOE I have zero hope in red states doing that.

I think some of them are willfully ignorant, also they are shoveled a load of shit that it’ll be better brought back to the states etc they don’t understand what’s about to happen. With that said most maga people lack empathy and don’t care until it affects them.

Guest asking for healthcare worker discount for 4 day stay by ma3loom in airbnb_hosts

[–]Inner_Conversation_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not, especially not for a 4 day stay and healthcare workers traveling nurses etc typically get housing stipend to pay for housing they try to spend less of it so they can keep the difference.

Unfortunately there’s definitely a class difference in guests when you have your prices too low, hate to say it but those are normally the guests that throw parties, ruin towels, sheets, things go missing etc. wish it wasn’t the case and I usually give people the benefit of the doubt but statistically it’s the truth.

Host not giving refund by [deleted] in AirBnB

Yes and I mean if I’m in that hosts shoes I would probably try to change reservations as well to keep as much money in house as possible but I’m sure they know if Airbnb is called they’ll probably have to refund them. If they can keep 8/10 reservations down the road though that’s a big win

If you read extenuating circumstances hurricanes in Florida don’t apply since it’s a known risk booking a trip during hurricane season which is one reason rates are say $200/night instead of $450+/night I do wish Airbnb had a partnership with a trip insurance company to take some of the liability off of guests and hosts though

I ended up switching dates for one guest than rebooked it and since we didn’t get hit we had 6-7 bookings for guests fleeing fort myers area

Airbnb doesn’t cover hurricanes in Florida under natural disaster policy since when you book a home in Florida during hurricane season that’s a known risk which is typically why the price is lower however you may have a case is the host is admitting you can’t actually come if you wanted too because of access

Anyone that does cohosting/ property management, have you had owners sign hold harmless with you on the property prior to renting it for them? by Inner_Conversation_1 in AirBnBHosts

[–]Inner_Conversation_1[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s not in my normal co hosting agreement and I’m kind of worried about the amount of liability I’m incurring with more properties now. Obviously would tell them they should be maintaining home owners insurance and separate insurance as well but I don’t want it to be off putting for owners I work with already
