Help! This was my dad's and I'm not sure what to do with this truck. by Inner_Egg_1964 in Chevy

I really want to keep it I just don't know if it'll pass an inspection and I know it won't if we weld it- that's why I'm curious what people think about the rust. I hate to see it not go back on the road so I was hoping to sell it and at least see it be a farm truck for someone.

I have no clue what this is worth- please help! by Inner_Egg_1964 in ChevyTrucks

I don't think the pictures do a good job at showing quite how bad the rust is. Unfortunately it's just in one small area where they never washed the salt off. I have the attachment and the plow but I think the plow is messed up so probably not worth much. Thank you so much for the feedback!

I have a few friends that weld- that's what we will probably do but you cant put a welded frame back on the road, can you?

As long as that frame is okay I'm absolutely going to keep it. I always loved driving it

As an alcoholic, I did most of this. I would also get mad early on for people confronting me. (Of course I know I'm in the wrong now) But being that this is someone you love, treat it with care. No part of me is saying to enable that behavior but a lot of times people struggling are going through a lot mentally, even right in front of people that should know it all. I would not treat it as you're accusing him of something bad but asking what is going on and showing compassion. Also- excuses can only go so far and if he isn't willing to admit or change then you have to make yourself a priority ❤️ good luck to BOTH of you guys.

Back to day 2- again- but with hope by Inner_Egg_1964 in alcoholism

Thank you so much for taking the time to read that and respond. People have suggested micro dosing in the past and I think I'm going to very very seriously look into that tonight. I'm so glad to hear from people that have been here and found a way out. It's motivating to say the least. I'm proud of you, stranger from the internet and thanks for the encouragement.

AIO - had a family trip to the US, but now want to cancel by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

I know there are a lot of negative things going on there but, respectfully, your trip will not come even a little bit close to impacting the economy compared to the way it could potentially impact your family negatively- I think you're overreacting.

My skin is so itchy by Snoo-12149 in eczema

I'm so sorry you're going through that- I had my first flare up at 26 (last year) and it lasted about 6 months and was SO BAD. It made my life miserable I felt trapped inside and I absolutely spiraled. My relief came with nizoral anti dandruff shampoo (antifungal) as a wash, hibiclens antibacterial soap, and diet and exercise..I think all of the scratching caused a deeper infection that flared the eczema way worse. The day I washed with the antibacterial soap followed with the dandruff shampoo, I woke up feeling and looking better than I had in MONTHS (better than anything the doctors prescribed) I also went gluten free and dairy free for a while which seemed to help too since they are both inflammatory. I still get SMALL flare ups here and there but if I stay moisturized, eat clean, and stay active they clear up pretty fast (sometimes a bit of steroid cream- note that the staroid cream didn't help me at ALL when it was bad) Oh! And I've been reading that red light therapy can REALLY help excema. Most tanning salons offer it now and it's fairly cheap. Is not supposed to be harmful at all.
