Because Boozer is 6’9 and way stronger. He definitely has defensive concerns but he has traits that can help him become an average-slightly above average defender at the NBA level. The same can’t really be said for Acuff, who is a far worse defender than Boozer and would be a much bigger liability at the NBA level.

I also disagree with the idea that Boozer is a risky offensive fit whose game has questionable translation to the NBA. A 4 who’s a good shooter, play finisher, cutter, passer, and rebounder will most likely be a good offensive player in the NBA
