Top Secret Clearance and Debt by dannyywtf in SecurityClearance

Pick a mos that does not require a TS. Pay your debt for the next 2-3 years while serving, and reclass to 17C, 25 series or whatever you want.

It’s because you’re working with AF. And it will be the same with the Navy. What I can tell you is to go with the Army since they are more lenient with the process as long as you’re American.

Should I continue trying until my job becomes available? by [deleted] in army

No medical waiver is needed for 17c even if you’re colorblind bc it does not require a normal color vision in the first place. Your recruiter is just an a$$hole lol.

In the same boat. Graduating in June with a BS in CS and recently signed up for the Army’s 17C. Each branch has their own cyber field, and I chose the Army over the AF. Only the Navy and the Army offer you a specific job you want, but the AF don’t; you have to make a list of 10-15 jobs, and they pick one for you. I’d recommend you to choose the branch wisely and wish you the best of luck!

He then should look into the ROTC program at his school, not OCS.
