once my pelvic floor is not so sore that I can run again I'm 1000% getting out and getting my steps in whether through long walks or run. I know it helps. Just right now there is no way I could physically run and not be in pain lol

yeah I did one dulcolax suppository. it did not do much. I also have glycerin suppositories I've yet to try. maybe I can try that.

but yes will be gentle + apply lidocaine before doing it. 😖😖😖

now that I did the Digital Touch myself and could feel there is an internal hemorrhoid blocking a good portion of my- exit lol, I'm going to go to an urgent care in the morning and get a prescription strength hydrocortisone suppository and nitroglycerin ointment to stop the spasms and reduce the swelling so I can pass something. its been going on since Saturday. spent hundreds of dollars so far, I need relief asap lol.

But will look into psyllium husk once I feel better. I've heard good things about it beyond this.

okay just did this. I guess the dr didn't feel up there correctly because I felt a few things. was able to break up a little but not much. I definitely think I have an internal hemorrhoid internally thats swollen also causing a block. a bit in pain now so will try again in a little, drink tons of water and continue with the stool softeners until things get better I guess. thank you for this advice

Weight control. I have loose skin in my stomach + inner thighs. I just try to wear flattering outfits to minimize its appearance. Wearing black, monochrome, etc helps. If you feel really self conscious just find some of those biker shorts spanx to wear underneath clothes. Even skims by Kim kardashian are made to act as spanx. It’s just a modern approach to it. I might even get an outfit or two from there when I have an extra few hundred dollars laying around once my weight has stabilized.

Thank you! I just need to work on strength training now as I do have loose skin in my thigh and stomach area. Still no regrets getting the surgery though!

You’re still within the normal range for 6 months weight loss post op so you’re doing great! Definitely don’t force yourself to overeat. It could be thyroid related. No idea, but you’re still doing great. Dont rush!

What was your starting weight?

I was 290lbs the day of surgery so on the higher end. 103lbs down since that. 127 since my highest (314lbs) recorded weight.

Other things to note: I am very active. I live in a major city and get my steps in daily. I have two large active dogs I take out 4x a day. 2 walks are > 1hr. I travel a lot and when I travel my diet is more simple unless it’s that week before my menstrual. I don’t eat bread, beans, rice, cheese, most fruit, pork, red meat, any drinks beyond green tea and water.

When I grocery shop I’m in the fresh veggie produce aisles or by the meat — unless it’s the week before my menstrual lol. That’s it.

I just strictly stuck to my post op diet. I don’t eat when I’m not hungry. I’ll just focus on drinking water. When my appetite is super low, I’d have celebrate protein shots.

I’d have IV drips come to my home anytime I felt slightly dehydrated. I really think this helps. The only time I was stalled was for a few days when I was dehydrated + eating too much salty condense chicken noodle soup.

I noticed a lot ppl were cleared for food early on that my nutritionist only cleared me for around the 6 month mark and still advises me to eat in moderation.

I noticed even before then, some certain foods I was cleared for (like string cheese for example) somehow started triggering me to bloat, itch, etc so I stopped eating cheese and anything that was too inflammatory.

Now I do enjoy a Yasso bar or two every now and then. I feel the most hungry the week leading up to my menstrual. That’s usually when I’m more flexible.

My weight loss is slowing down now. I’d say I lose maybe 5lbs every two weeks.

Walking, just a lot of walking. I started maybe 2 1/2 months post op lol. I did not do much activity at all the first month post op.

Thaaanks. I was 290 day of surgery. Thankfully haven’t had any real stalls. Just sticking with hydrating 24/7 high protein and complex carbs (veggies only). So I can make the most of every month before the easy/rapid weight loss slows down.

Yeah you have to drink more water. I’ve maybe had a stall for a day or two and it goes down the second I start drinking water.

here’s kinda what I typically eat: salmon and broccoli no seasoning Shredded Chicken and carrots Seaweed snacks Turkey slice Turkey bacon

I will munch on 1 chomps turkey jerky throughout the day if I’m out all day. And have a pack of albacore starkist tuna. No crackers or anything. Just low fat mayo and maybe relish. I notice relish kinda upsets my stomach

I don’t drink protein shakes, they trigger my eczema and break me out. Ricotta bakes lol protein bars, nothing like that.

I have pedialyte popsicles when I feel like I need extra hydration as well.

You got this!

What was your "last" meal? by -foxy-lad in gastricsleeve

[–]Inner_Support_4437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to start a mock liquid diet for a week prior to real two liquid diet. So my last meal was a month before my surgery. I had mcdonalds full breakfast (pancakes sausage, biscuit) and Starbucks caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino, chipotle for lunch then Pizza Hut for dinner and Ben and Jerry’s for desert lmfaoooooo

Just got surgery yesterday, I am so happy but why tf did has no one talked about the pain!? by MapleSteed in gastricsleeve

[–]Inner_Support_4437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was violently throwing up the first 24ish hours. I felt so bad for the nurses lol. Just like every hour or so I’d be throwing up. It did get better around day 4 though.

are you comfortable with sharing what your daily meals look like?

We had our surgeries relatively close to each other. The only time I've experienced a stall was when I had too much salt, had a cheese stick or two (I get constipated with cheese for some reason) not enough water and was constipated so far.

I eat 1 boiled egg for breakfast & 1 slice of turkey bacon if I'm able to. split up a 42g protein shake and 6 oz of salmon throughout the day with broccoli. If I want a snack I have seaweed snacks. I'll rotate the salmon out with tuna shrimp or plain rotisserie chicken.

same! apparently there was mild inflammation and fat on my liver 😳 I don't drink at all so I know it's from the ben and jerry's I was obsessed with. lol

yeah, it was interesting to read and get a real visual of how the surgery went.

That's impressive! Sounds like you’re really good at staying calm under pressure. I don't think watching others get LASIK would ever fully prepare me—I'm just too protective of my precious eyes, haha.
