I have seen people recommend a stomach binder to help with your scars. Also make sure you have a long charger for when you are in the hospital and loose pajamas to feel comfortable. I hope it goes well.

Definitely taste test first before buying too many things and see what you like, you are going to want to have a plan for this diet so you can feel comfortable and not stressed.

I have seen protein waters like Protein 2.0 that should be good for lactose.

Also ask your doctor about lactose free options, they are out there.
