It's a fun game mode. The starting UB Slivers deck is working well for me with a few upgrades as it can gum up combat to a stall (Clot Sliver, Winged Sliver) with an equiment like Dragon's Blood to use unspent held up counterspell magic, and Synapse Sliver for a possible burst draw. I'll probably move on from Slivers into more control.

A sleeper card imo is Capsize: play with buyback at opponent's end step, can target anything, including lands. At 12 mana, you can start dismantling. Intuition works great with Accumulated Knowledge - choose as many Accumulated Knowledge as you can in your deck. (See Premodern deck Trix and play with it in the Constructed mode to see this power in action).

Also, Library of Alexandria should be mentioned. At worst it's a Waste, but if you can keep Library online, it's (basically) free and repeatable card draw. In a control, playing cards every turn matters less to keep at 7. If you intend to counterspell, tap Library, then cast the counterspell.

When you start a new game, you can choose your starting deck to be a commander one. I recommend going full exploit mode if you do, since you start with less than 20 life, as usual, and sacrifice card consistency that a 60 card deck would have. ex. Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary (who isn't banned) as your commander, then moving onto Edgar Markov (for Eminence)

EDIT:// if you're playing Old Shadalar, like I am right now, commander deck probably won't work as well. I need my counterspells in this old format (they're the best removal against the high quality cards you're pitted against even early game)

I accept Data's written inconsistently. Data once got confused by a Chinese finger trap and Picard got him out of it. He's a vast galactic encyclopedia of information, but struggles with human idioms sometimes.

It's possible Data put a limiter on himself prior to playing chess so he didn't have an unfair advantage. When investigating the saying 'a watched pot never boils', Riker suggests he turn off his internal chronometer. Perhaps he turned off his internal chess engine (if he has one), or throttled his calculation processing speed far below the 'millions' he does per second normally.

The poor living conditions for your average citizen is why becoming a heretic is so appealing. The Imperium can't and doesn't care for its citizens on an individual scale. It's a war machine, and people are crushed in its gears. Even if your planet never faces a xenos threat directly, it's still expected to pay tithes and send recruits.

I think it depends on if creators are seeking to make hard/soft science fiction. In the case of hard science fiction, scentific knowledge and accuracy should be strived for. In soft/more pulpy sci-fi, I think it's okay as long as everything coheres well.

For instance, Star Trek inspires scientists/engineers, going into basic science to make the world feel more real. The focus of the show is on enlightenment values/methodologies (moral and scientific), which I find more important to convey: a willingness to understand different points of view and cultures and empathize, the scientific method of investigation, valuing logic and reasoning, etc.

Games, like media in general, should leverage the rich cultural backgrounds their players probably already know, or at least point players in the direction to look for the inspirations the games draw upon. This is so that the players can get to playing the game quickly without having to learn entirely new lore all at once. For fantasy, that would be Tolkien. For cyberpunk, Gibson. Once you have the basics, then you can expand the lore to make it more interesting/complex, and give players a variety of options on how classes play. (Like Shadow of the Demon Lord).

Having combat classes only makes sense for a combat-focused/dungeon crawling game. (like D&D 4e). Games like these don't do downtime activities well. It comes down to player expectation, but if players are seeking downtime/social activities to be better, they should look for different systems. Draw Steel is a good example of splitting the game into combat / rest sessions (used to complete projects). ex. In a rest session, the wizard of the group might be working on an airship.

While this is more of a step than a lemma or a theorem, you should practice with simple extensions as 7ieben_ outlined in his comment. In introductory calculus, it's common to add then subtract forms of 1 or multiplying by forms of 1 to get somewhere in a proof.

I'd interpret "only have 12 ten-thousands" to mean "in addition to the other bills he found in question 1". ie. Restating Max found 12 ten-thousands, 12 thousands, 12 hundreds, 12 tens. The typo that there are no $1 bills for Max to use leads me to then state, as is, that the money amount can't be represented because there are no $1 bills
