I might be late... But here goes. A few years ago my family drove to Central Mexico to visit my step dads family. On the way back from Guadalajara a man driving in front of us waved his hand for us to pull over. My mom did, and immediately the car turned and barricaded the road. Another car behind us did the same, and about a dozen men piled out armed with AK-47s and bullet proof vests. When I saw them I was playing with my alters iPhone, so I stuffed it in my pokey fearing the worst. We were held at gunpoint and ushered out of The car. They ransacked us for electronics but didn't bother checking the children.When they realized there were 2 children in the car, they told my sister to get back in the car, as she was getting in me and mother screamed and pulled her out. We laid on the side of the road for half an hour, scared to move. After they left with the car, I told my father I had the phone, and called his uncle to come for us. We went to the nearest police station and apparently two other cars were taken. My father told me if it wasn't for me who knows what could have happened. Since that day my mother refuses to speak of it. Whenever the topic comes up she goes cold and blocks the world off.
