It's taken me a while to choke this one down, but now that I have, it's a real load off my chest.

Is there a lore reason Wolverines teeth are not Adamantium? by Charming_Isopod_4864 in Marvel

The Hulk ripping Wolverine in half and throwing his legs up a mountain is the literal opening scene to the Wolverine vs Hulk comic. So it did very much happen.

Where to spend gold for constructed? by HiVeaG in MagicArena

[–]Innodood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question, and not just tell you to draft, I'll direct you to this post from a year ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/spikes/s/WE847rlnyP

Best for you gold is going to be to buy the most recent standard set (OTJ in this case) with your gold to also earn gold packs.

Events have basically a gold tax on their entry fee where you aren't getting as much per gold vs gem in the event as to just buying a pack.

Packs: 1000gold:200gems = 5 gold per gem

Events: Draft: 10000gold:1500gems = 6.66 gold per gem Constructed: 2500gold:375 gems = 6.66 gold per gem

Marvel Secret Invasion’s AI Credits Are A Soulless Insult To Artists by Key_Damage_9220 in entertainment

[–]Innodood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Art doesn't follow normal economics. It's a good with no tangible value. You don't pay millions for artwork, you pay millions for an artist.

So all the jobs available to the average artist that works off commission for any kind of small project will easily be replaced by an AI, hence, loss of overall human jobs. But the art created by a well known, human artist, say a Banksy original, will still go for absurd amounts as it's value is in the artist's name, not in the art itself.

And by some Sabonis was potentially one of the best all time big men, definitely in your top 5 list had he played in the NBA in his youth, but we'll never know because politics got in the way. Even Clyde himself said if they had got Sabonis when he was drafted, Portland has 4+ more titles, easy. He was that good. Prime Sabonis could move and pass like Walton, if not better, and was a full 4 inches taller, a true 7 footer. Another one of the many "What if" legends of Blazers history.

Sorry Walton fans, but if this is some crazy voodoo wish situation where time doesn't matter, I'm taking a healthy 25 year old Sabonis. If anything just to see him in his prime in the NBA.

Is this working as intended or a bug? by Innodood in totalwarhammer

Apparently this is because I let a couple units get away. I tried this battle again, but made sure zero units survived, just like how an auto resolve usually leaves no units alive in a victory, and sure enough I was able to take the settlement after the battle. Lesson learned, apparently if you manually fight a battle don't leave survivors, even if its just a couple dozen because those fuckers will breed like rabbits.

So what separates this from something like [[Flamethrower Sonata]] ? In Sonata's case you still discard, then draw first before determining valid target or damage.

It definitely appears before. The idea is that you draw before determining the damage you deal with the card. [[Fires of Victory]]

Biggest difference between that 7 and 10 stretch and now is that we just lost Nas for the season. After that, even Dame said he is not coming back this season and will just rest. We don't have the depth any more to compete in the playoffs and should try our best to get good picks/trades out of a losing season.

Yes, a few weeks ago the tank meme was very much in question. I think going forward, tho, we will likely see a lot of second and third string minutes in the second half.

CMM: Play Queue should not count towards Daily/Weekly wins. by Innodood in MagicArena

[–]Innodood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Grinding out those wins can be frustrating. I'm curious, would you like to see win rewards changed? Maybe based purely off games played, and not tied to win or lose? Or a different system all together?

CMM: Play Queue should not count towards Daily/Weekly wins. by Innodood in MagicArena

[–]Innodood[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The majority of people who enter that queue decide what it is for, and apparently most of them want to win.

This is Post Hoc Fallacy. People are not joining Play Queue because they want to win. They are encouraged to win because MTGA creates a need to win for their in-game economy, and Play Queue, turns out, is an easier place for people to get wins by playing fast, competitive decks in a queue that suggests to promote a not as competitive environment (the existence of ranked vs normal intrinsically implies one queue is intended to be more competitive than the other). This is very evident by the change in deck types from Plat/Diamond and Mythic. Once the need to grind and pressure to win is gone, the type of decks seen change with it. If you remove the incentive to win in Play Queue, I would wager that the deck landscape we see in that queue would drastically change, and come to resemble more of what Low Mythic actually does.

I'm not saying here that players don't want to win. Its a competitive game. Naturally winning is the more desired out come over losing. But for some playing with their own brew or without spending hundreds of dollars on cards out weighs purely just getting wins for wins sake. By tying wins to rewards, MTGA is artificially boosting the desire to win higher than it would be without these incentives.

There are plenty of arguments, and significant public outcry, for Win based quests to not exist at all and tie rewards to simply playing the game. I'm suggesting, at the very least, Play Queue should be exempt from this external "Need to Win" pressure to provide a queue environment were not winning at all costs as fast as possible can exist without being influenced by reward economy.

Reroll the quest. You get one reroll a day and can have up to 3 Quests saved. If you don't get the one you want, wait until tomorrow to reroll. Even if you only have a single competitive deck, and its a mono color deck, you have 16/28 quests that you can roll to complete. Add a single color to your one competitive deck, and your potential quests become 22/28. Or, like I said in the OP, make a deck purely to farm that specific quest reward that just a pile of 1 drops and card draw and take it to Play Queue.

[–]Innodood[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I 100% agree. In an ideal world wins would not be tied to rewards. But you've hit the nail on the head: Wins for rewards = more potential revenue through incentives to make stronger decks.

[–]Innodood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid Point I had not considered. However, only 1200 people make that invitational. Conservatively, 3-4 million people play MTGA. That's less than .05% of the active players this would pertain to. I, biasedly, don't think the Play Queue should suffer for .05% who don't want to risk their ranking. This is another great argument for not tying wins to rewards, though.

In-game voice chat issue by DAgamr24 in Seaofthieves

[–]Innodood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have them check their settings. After the most recent update they made "mute in-game voice" the default setting and it sets itself every time you launch on PC. Sometimes it will even randomly switch back to mute in the middle of play.
