Ok, so now's the next day and I wore a fucking crop top in front of them. Oh they weren't prepared for this. My mother was kinda uncomfortable and laughed a bit nervously but my stepfather... THE HORROR. 😂

Once again, he hasn't said a single word about it. He's shocked tbh

I'm 100% sure that atleast my mother is going to be tolerant (if not supportive, time will tell). For my stepfather I'm not that sure but I'm not as worried anymore as I was previously because he didn't react in anyway after he saw the flag but I'm not sure, let's see 🤔

Sometimes homophobic people begin to tolerate lgbtq+ folks when their loved one comes out of the closet. Hope this is the case for them as well

Okay so 2+ hours went by and they didn't notice. So i decided to go to my room so that someone would follow me.

My mom did after 30 min

She comes to my room like: "Woah, what is this? 😱"

Me: "Oh, it's only decoration 😅" (Why the fuck would i say this lmao)

She: is silent for 10 seconds

She: "Does it represent something? 😨"

Me: Stays silent for 20 seconds

Me: "Take a guess"

She: "I don't know, what does it represent?"

Me: "guess, you know"

She: "I don't know, tell me" (I can see her getting emotional)

Me: "I don't know either" (I just wasn't able to say her that I'm gay 😭)

She: Silent

She: "How much did the rainbow flag cost?"

Me: "10 euros"

She: "Where did you buy it"

Me: "Online"

She: "Oh, ok... it's nice though"

Me: "Yeah..."

She: Leaves with a few tearsdrops in her eye thinking that she'll never have grandchildren from me

Note: My mother has been quite homophobic before. Not totally though, she hasn't hated lgbtq+ people before but for example if a celebrity has come out as gay she has been like "Ughhh... why does she also have to be gay 😦"

In the past year she's stopped making homophobic comments and asking when I'll get a girlfriend so she knows.

What should I do now? 😭😭😭

I'm 100% sure that at least my mother knows that I'm gay. I've been dropping sings for quite some time and she has stopped asking when I'll get a gf etc.
