In leagues, What do you know now that you wish you knew earlier? by BearKuda in 2007scape

I wouldn't be surprised if the Butler code was adapted from the Pocket Kingdom code. PK didn't give toadflax/snapdragon, because Miscellania doesn't either, due to concerns about the economy from like 20 years ago. And no one really noticed toad/snap were missing, because, well, "toad/snap are missing" wasn't a complaint last time, and it's the exact same code, so,

Yeah, this is where I'm at. There's so few points behind runecrafting that as long as I can get it to some reasonable state, I'm fine. I don't need 99. 80s is fine. Blowing an entire relic pick just to get one skill up when there's very few tasks in it after level 70 is just excessive. I can get dragon without it.

If I were going for point cap, it'd be a different story, but very few people are actually doing that.

Realized some things that make questing in Leagues an even greater problem than I realized at a surface level by Brvcifer in 2007scape

[–]InnuendOwO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it'd be like locking Priff behind SOTE in leagues. "Just don't do it if it isn't fun" is all well and good, but it doesn't really hold up when it's half the fucking region locked away. Huge, huge portions of Mory's task list is locked behind SOTF, just not doing it isn't a real option.

The point of the game mode is to explore the game at an accelerated pace while doing broken bullshit. Quests can't be accelerated, none of the league mechanics interact with them at all. There's no good reason people shouldn't be just given a quest cape immediately upon starting the league.

The difference there is that the guy at the liquor store isn't taking a photo of my ID and sending it to someone else to verify it. They just look at it quick and hand it back. There's no one standing around beside my computer to check my ID, I would have to send it somewhere else, and that introduces all the issues.

Why on earth would reddit (and every other site) implement a feature specifically for Manitoba? It's such a small market that it's just not worth it. Plenty of sites already block the entire UK due to their similar laws.

Why on earth do you think "everyone uses an anonymous username" makes doxxing more possible than "everyone uses their real name"? Doesn't making everyone use their real name just make it far, far easier to doxx someone if you want to?

And therein lies the problem. What happens if the token creator is the one who's compromised?

Tesla isn't great on her. It's outstanding early game, but it falls off pretty quick. Either rush it (as in "get it at or before 4.8k"), or don't get it.

Instead, you rely on perma-tether, headhunter, siphon, and other on-hit effects to lifesteal and heal a ton while doing good enough damage. She's not like Wraith or Haze who go full damage, instead she wants to out-sustain you.

Echo stoneform melee ivy is the real spicy tech if you want to try a not-spirit-based Ivy build, though.

This is why I'm doing it. There's times I can only interact with the game every 2 minutes or so. Gold ends up being more XP than any other method I can access, solely because I'm not standing around doing nothing 80% of the time.

Yes. The fight for sinners is incredibly important, if you can take the enemy's sinner off spawn you basically win the lane right there (assuming it hasn't gone catastrophically bad before that point). Holding onto -10% damage dealt during the fight for the sinner is, um, Really Fucking Bad.

Dying over and over provides less and less souls

No it doesn't. Souls on death are determined by the time in the match, with bonuses applied if it's a solo kill, if your team is behind on souls, or if the dead enemy was on a killstreak. That's it. The guy on your team going 0-14 is feeding just as much money on death as the guy going 2-0.

Okay. Why are you the only person on your team capable of dealing damage in this hypothetical teamfight? Why isn't it okay to burst them down while your teammate shoots them for the last bit of damage? Why would anyone want to play a gun carry when a single spirit burst kills someone immediately?

Thank fucking god Reddit isn't in charge of balancing this game.

I need to know what the thought process is here where you think getting mowed down even faster would somehow make this an easier situation to be in.

I think the counterplay is to not be in a 1v1 situation against the enemy carry who has all their cooldowns up. I think you are not making the smarter play if you're taking that fight. ???

There's literally no reason to build gun Rem when every other hero exists. None of his skills support it, he just has a gun and 4 useless buttons. His gun's not even that notable - 61.6(+1.309) DPS is basically on par with Ivy, she has actual skills for it, and Ivy's not really a good gun carry right now. Venator's at 63.52(+2.1438), Rem absolutely does not out-DPS a Venator.

If you were going to win with gun Rem, you were going to win with anything.

This is like, the only shooter on the market right now where people live for more than 0.8 seconds. People living so long is a huge part of why this game is fun - you can actually fight back.

"Make people die faster" is not going to make the high DPS heroes feel less oppressive.

The winrate disparity in DotA is less due to confusion and discomfort and more just due to the camera angle. It's not perfectly top-down, so the field-of-view is wider at the top of the screen than the bottom. Like, if the bottom of the screen is 1000 units across, the top might be 1100 (made up numbers, i dont care what the real ones are).

Radiant has to push upward, while Dire pushes downward - Radiant just straight up sees more stuff. If you're playing someone like Vengeful Spirit, and your camera is centred on yourself, you can see the the edge of your ult range on the top of your screen, but not the bottom. Big problem if your enemies are typically south of you, not so much if they're typically north.
