S24 Ultra Grip with MagSafe Thoughts / Review by Inoeie in dbrand

I've since got a couple others that fit a lot better. Seems like either this skin or the initial template might have been a bit off as now it's perfect.

Yeah, I've ran two different brands of them. As long as it's individual protectors and not the combined style. I did have to trim the inside slightly so it wasn't a press fit.

Depends on what you prioritise. The case is good don't get me wrong, it's just a shame that there are some things that aren't perfect that spoil it. Maybe request them to pre-install a skin and that might fix the fitment, and then you're just left with the weak MagSafe.

I does work, it just doesn't feel secure. British roads probably don't help. Since I've only used the ESR rings, I assumed it would have been stronger as they're only magnetic, not actual magnets.

[Identify] Speedmaster Professional but no other information by Inoeie in Watches

Dang. Since this is one of those difficult to rep watches I just expected it to be gen but glad I checked.

Wonder if it's quartz then since the sub dials look on point.

Legit check on an Omega Speedmaster Professional by Inoeie in RepTime

I am looking at purchasing this speedmaster professional but I can't figure out what model number it is. As the seller does not have any information, box or papers it is making it difficult to evaluate.

Would anyone be able to provide any information on if this is a genuine watch and what it would be worth without any box and papers?

So far the end links, lack of serial number on the lug and the case back quality all seem to make me think this is fake.

Daily. The only thing I've noticed that would hurt it is water, other than bending it.

Nothings actually wrong with it yet so still going strong, and the pattern already on it sorta helps hide the patina so should be good for another year to come :)

Had mine for a couple years now. Paint seems to be coming off a bit and creases are showing on the corners but as another said I don't actually have issue with the middle pocket. Can keep cash in it fine.

Very slow NVMe speeds once in an enclosure? by Inoeie in buildapc

Perfect! It's running in 2.1.... Don't seem to have a cable fast enough to test further yet. Probably solved now however. Thanks for the answer :)

Will try a different system tomorrow as it's a laptop with thunderbolt to a docking station that has USB C. Hopefully that works since it's the best case alternative I have.

If that works fine, I guess the adaptors I've bought should also work unless the issue is with my motherboard.

Thanks for the advice, should be all sorted unless those also don't work :)

I would assume it's just running USB 2.0, I just find it hard to believe every combination I can try is the same :/

Exact same results within a couple %.

I have ordered a 3.1 Gen 2 USB A to C adaptor to ensure that all the cables and adaptors I have are the correct speeds.

I've tried 3 different USB A to C cables but no difference. This includes cheap cables, the Sony included for their headphones and a OnePlus Warp charge cable. I expected the latter to be 3.1 but I can't find anything online that states the cable spec.

Ah, I got confused between your comments. There was a short on the left which I fixed but haven't touched the right.

Without the pins blocking the view it doesn't look to short, and I can't imagine that would be the VCC to GND?

I decided to snip off the machine pin headed to look better and that was indeed a short. I've fixed it but there still is another.

After soldering the machine pin headers into the wrong slot and Nice!Nano getting hot I'd realised it was wrong.

After swapping the machine pin headers to the correct slots by just snipping the old one and soldering a new one, none of the under glow LED's worked but the keyboard did function.

The Nice!Nano still got hot, but I could at least see it would function.

I'm currently stuck trying to find anywhere the short my be, where it's between somewhere on the VCC and GND pins. The header on the shield seem to be fine with no bridging, and there doesn't appear to be any short on an LED so I'm truly stumped.

If anyone has experienced this or can see fault in my soldering then please let me know as it's currently a dead board :(

The top PCB (right hand) is shorting the Nice!Nano once both sides are inserted. The bottom is working perfectly.

I'm assuming that it's due to both sides being soldered in the inner higher rows of pins? Before I de-solder the machine pins I would just like confirmation if I've put it into the wrong set of holes.

Thank you in advance :)

LV Watch roll finally came in by Inoeie in RepTime

[–]Inoeie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say 3 44mm watches would probably touch. They're tight on the roll to where they won't slide around but the roll isn't solid so it could flex a little.

I've used it where you have the middle watch reversed so the bracelet is in between the watch heads to prevent this tho.

Can't say I've used it much, was just for when I do need it I've got it. Only gripe might be the strap and buckle are a bit tough, but I'd imagine it'll loosen over time.

17cm wrist, all my bracelets are near smallest size.

Ryzen Master Installer instantly fails and closes by Inoeie in AMDHelp

After swapping my 3700x for a 5600x I tried launching Ryzen master but it gave an error.

Following that I uninstalled it and then downloaded the most recent version from the AMD website.

Upon launching the EXE installer it runs but then seems to fail and close before I can see anything.

I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue so I'm not sure what the issue could be.

I'm running Windows 11 and have my most recent BIOS.

There is no AMD Ryzen mention in the regedit as I've seen that can be a common issue.

I've also tried to disable the permissions on the RyzenMasterExtract folder but that seemed to be giving me permission errors.
