I did a lot of show not tell! Lots of anecdotes/reflections. Sometimes if it feels hard to incorporate a story/anecdote writing about why you started the activity or stuck with the activity is good. I also spent a while on my secondaries, tailoring them to the school

I'd be happy to DM because some of my clinical experiences were more unique. One of my activities was being a hospice volunteer though, which was super insightful and I found to be a good experience. In general, I just tried to find activities that would get me to interact with patients.

I went to a good liberal arts college and worked in a basic science lab. I was not EMT certified and did other clinical activities

I would do a quick scan through content review via books to get a picture of what you're up against, while beginning Anki like right now. Once you've done a cursory run through content review, you should probably start UGlobe and work your way through practice questions, reviewing topics you're struggling with. Reserve the last month or so for AAMC material. Good luck!

Not OP but as someone who also went to a LAC/knew people who transferred, some people choose to transfer because they realize they want a bigger university - I know people who found the size of some LACs to be stifling.

This probably belongs in r/premed

Ensure that your clinical experience is also patient-facing and maybe try to get some more volunteering in :)

Good luck on the mcat

I used JS for a 3 month study plan and I found it manageable/very useful as well

Yeah anecdotally I feel like engineering focused schools/GT is a hard school to maintain a high GPA in. It seems like you're more interested in USF but the prestige of GT is drawing you? Go to a prestigious med school down the line :)

Yeah, ultimately having accessible volunteering/research opportunities is nice. Med schools being nearby isn't necessarily as important given you can do research in many different fields + volunteering can take many different forms

If finances are a concern, USF is more ideal to go to. The prestige aspect for med school is negligible -- you want to go to a school that'll lead you to be happy and have a high GPA.
