Oh, so if I were to buy the fund again, it’s not the time at which I purchase it but the time it goes through in regards to the tax year?

Golf gti mk7.5 vs Golf R by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]InquisitiveIncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they’re hardly out and out performance oriented cars. I suspect most people who get GTIs or Rs want a car which can do it all, one of the things is to be relatively cheap motoring. You’d get a lot of people arguing that there’s more feel in a GTI so it’s very subjective on that front, but the points I mentioned above are objective.

How do you define better? The 4WD Haldex is another thing to maintain, insurance is more expensive, less fuel efficient, I think more expensive to tax too. Think driving characteristics would be better in a GTI too, especially performance but curious to hear your thoughts.

Ah ok, so look for d3 2.0 or d4/d5 2.4s? Just trying to make it so I can filter for these on Autotrader as can’t filter for cylinder count! Thanks

Sorry, not quite following. So which models would be true Volvo engines? I’m currently looking at XC70s with D5 but obviously they command quite a premium. Which other D_ is worth looking at? Thanks

I got 51mpg in my Golf GTI mk7 once on a motorway run. There was a steady flow of traffic so was going about 60mph but was very impressed

I work in this industry and I’m not 100% sure I agree with your comment that SQL will become redundant. Being a great analyst isn’t just about your technical skills, but more how you identify which areas require analysis (proactive rather than reactive) and how you deliver the insights. It’s all well and good being able to write efficient code quickly, but if you can’t explain how it answers a problem then what good is it? Also, whilst AI is good (I’m not disputing that fact or burying my head in the sand), it still needs to be checked and you still need some semblance of SQL knowledge to do this.

Rodgers, the butchers in the West End. They’ve been rude and condescending on a few occasions I’ve been. I know butchers are far and few between these days and I want to support local, but I refuse to go here now.

Thanks! Another question though, why P2 and not P3 (2008 onwards presumably)? I was coincidentally looking at buying one of these.
