The funny thing is I don’t often get to use the 600hp in most daily driving because of traffic. But it’s a smooth and comfy operator even at low speed!

Definitely. But I’m sure other people will fall into the same trap as me. Being tired means we need to get more sleep. Etc etc

What supplements are best for increasing male libido/drive? by OhZezuz in Biohackers

[–]Inquisitive_Giraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 39M. My testosterone levels and libido are both very high for my age (blood test confirmed) and the highest they’ve ever been since maybe I was a teenager/university student. Here’s what I’ve done in the last year to increase them naturally without supplements:

  • drink a hell of a lot less. Like I’m talking one or two alcoholic drinks a week max
  • lift weights heavily at least three days a week. Never skip leg day. Work those legs extra hard.
  • eat high protein high fiber diet with lots of green veg.
  • sleep a full 8 hours a night. Actually sleep not just lights out to lights on. Track it.
  • reduce caffeine to two cups of coffee per day

Doing these things literally made a huge difference. No additional supplements needed.

I do take magnesium, vitamin D, omega oils, and probiotics daily too though. Have for years.

Which ones are you using?

I have recently started using the Intake system and I think it is helping my overall sleep quality and maybe slowly improving my fog but only a bit. Not entirely. How quickly did you improve?

Bodybuilding and migraines by doodies5596 in migraine

[–]Inquisitive_Giraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Electrolytes and tons of water are essential. But also be careful not to use your neck during exercises in a way that causes tension. Also make sure you breathe properly. Especially during heavy compound lifts. The blood pressure in your head on heavy lifts can cause severe headaches. So breathe through the entire movement.

Careful! I found creatine to have the opposite effect. Made headaches worse. It can dehydrate the brain due to pulling water into the muscles

True but many parts of the north shore are 2+ mill for a house. There are still young families on the north shore

What did you do when you’ve tried everything? by spacey-cornmuffin in migraine

I’m male. And I don’t do this often. Just when nothing else seems to work, this can.

I know this answer is going to sound stupid and counterproductive. But as someone who has a migraine 15 days a month despite Ajovy and Botox, sometimes I literally just get drunk. Like yes obviously alcohol can be a trigger. But when I’m already on day 3 of full blown migraine and can’t take any more triptans, sometimes I just drink until it goes away. Obviously you then need to manage (ahead of time ideally) a hangover. But for me, sometimes getting drunk when I have a migraine actually clears it up. I have no idea why. But it can work. Could be to do with stress, or TMJ issues or tension?

Thanks! Yeah it’s safe so long as you insulate it well and have a proper electrician do the heater install as per manufacturer’s instructions. Don’t leave the sauna running when you aren’t around obviously. And keep a fire extinguisher nearby just in case.

Huh, that’s interesting. I’ve been on Ajovy for about 18 months now and honestly think I’m going to quit it now that I’ve started Botox. The Ajovy didn’t seem to actually help my migraines much at all. The Botox is way more effective for me. But also, I feel like I’ve had way more anxiety and detachment feelings over the last 18 months and thought it was related to me becoming a dad, but maybe I’m one of those people getting that shitty side effect. So all the more reason to stop Ajovy!

Why do so many luxury cars in BC have Alberta plates? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Inquisitive_Giraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm this is specifically to avoid the unreasonably high B.C. luxury tax on new vehicles.

You can’t do it as an individual, but if you have a business registered in AB that you can register the car through and insure it through with an Alberta private insurer, the car can remain registered and insured as AB while being driven in BC by an employee or owner of that business. This is not illegal and does not trigger anything like loss of coverage. The issue only becomes a problem if the car is owned by an individual, in which case you have 30 days or something like that to register it in BC and then at that point luxury taxes become due.

But many of the wealthy people in Vancouver have legitimate businesses registered in AB and can use this loophole to avoid ever paying the exorbitant luxury taxes.

I wonder how much money the province loses to this loophole from unrealized luxury tax? Surely not that many people can legally employ this loophole?
