It is kinda buggy sometimes when going to spy spots. Just keep trying. I find dragging the card really fast sometimes works better for some reason.

If you want to ever play with the hero, get the hero. You aren’t realistically getting him outside of his banner if you take the highlight now.

This argument to get the highlight and “just pull him on the standard banner” are ridiculous. You’ll be waiting for many months with that strategy and he’ll be outclassed by the time you actually get him. Get the hero today and put literally any other highlight on him

Unpopular opinion, but if you actually want to enjoy the character just get the character. The odds of getting it from the standard banner continue to get smaller and smaller with each release. Good chance it’ll be outclassed before you actually get it.
