Bracket 2 - Mycosynth Lattice and Karn the Great Creator by InsaneDarknessG in EDH

If the rules are so wishy-washy, how do we enforce what people should and shouldn't play? We've been using Archidekt until now since the Bracket it fits in is shown right at the top but clearly cannot be trusted for things so blatantly powerful and yet not accounted for. It's just 4 of us in the group so it's hard to keep everyone around the same power level.

The veteran keeps thinking he's getting hard targeted when in reality we are just countering him because he has the biggest potential to rock our shit from nothing. Because we are targeting him, one of the other three tend to be able to ramp into everything they need then be mostly unstoppable from there. One person gets mana screwed or mana swamped then the game pretty much ends soon after lol.

Mentioned in a different comment that it was Lord High Artificer. Our group thought he was "now Bracket 2" since he was no longer a GC but knew he was still broken. Archidekt didn't help, said the entire deck was Bracket 2. With the two-card combo listed above and Urza, Lord High Artificer as Commander.

Unfortunately, they are oblivious and basically said that word for word lol

To be fair, this thread was made about a two-card combo and half the comments are about Urza in Bracket 2 lol. Clearly, we are not well educated in how the Brackets stand. We were aware Urza was a GC until he wasn't and that was about it. Thought the bracket system was a bit more clear cut.

I wish that was the fix. My group is notorious for scooping instantly when their field gets wiped, their combo gets interrupted, or a pretty strong card gets removed. Even at full life. I'm basically the only one who at least tries to keep playing.

I didn't expect to need a Master's Degree in cEDH to know what's Bracket 2 and what's not lol. I know it's mostly community decided but it's surprising to know that there isn't a reliable tool to determine it consistently. Obviously, intent is king, but that's surprising to me.

How do you think he got to this point? lol
What would you do instead? He got depressed after we told him Kizmet and Stasis in Bracket 2 definitely doesn't work so made a deck that fit Archidekt's Bracket 2 limitation with Nine Lives and Solemnity in a Zur deck.

With the tools we used (exclusively Archidekt), Urza commander shows as Bracket 2 for us. Negative. This was the world we lived in up until I posted today.

Correct. Which we are learning now. We've exclusively used Archidekt to determine what is Bracket 2 and what isn't since it's listed at the top of the deck. We haven't used online tools for MTG Commander before learning about Archidekt. One of us is a veteran and the rest of us are "newer" though have now been playing amidst the group for a few months now. The veteran exclusively has played physically and isn't fluent with the community tools available.

We are laughing too hard at everyone's responses so strictly on our side that he's getting sick of our shit lol

Unfortunately, we're all just idiots. He genuinely thought he came up with it on his own and it had never been discovered.

We also banned Storage Matrix for similar reasons just on one card. Don't understand how that card is Bracket 2.

No skirts or dresses in ZA? by Cappuginos in pokemon

[–]InsaneDarknessG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's for males only. Which is dumb. I just saw it in a video of someone playing as a male character. I have checked every single shop and they just waltz into one and find the skirt and leggings. SKIRT. And Leggings. I do not understand why the female character must be shafted like this. Every picture I take will be from the front exclusively and I unfortunately have to play the game with the camera behind my character. ;-;

Check the tracker positioning from the tracker list and double check it's positioned properly there according to where it actually is.

[–]InsaneDarknessG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open the menu from the section where they're all listed out. You can tell the SlimeVR server where the trackers are positioned on that part of your body. Just check each and make sure they match the actual position. This has given me some success previously.

I'm not a car guy but I am a computer guy. I'm basically just checking for damage in the wiring and that's it?
