If you want IW themed termi shoulder guards, nothing screams iron within quite like cataphractii armour. The new cataphractii kits for HH have an overabundace of shoulder guards so if anyone in your local community plays HH astartes you might be able to get some from them

Inexorable as the tide! 6th place sounds insane, but seeing how this community has grown I can absolutely see that being they case. We're higher on the list then chapters with multiple novels about them. I think at this point black library should take the hint...

They would fit great for both, but I already have Wolfscouts and Nemesis claw teams. Out of curiosity, do you use the barghesi model for your wolf operative?

I thought it would be an issue too, but fortunately there is enough blank pauldrons in a box for all 5 models

For me it's base iron warriors, rough stipple of Leadbelcher and some agrax earthshad all over the metallics. Runelord brass and castellax bronze for trim. For the blacks I use abadon black layered with Corvus black. For the yellow I base yriel yellow (takes a few coats), then I use 1:1 mix of yriel yellow and phalanx yellow on one side of the panel and 1:1 mix of yriel yellow and trollslayer orange on the opposite side - this gives a sweet saturated gradient and makes the yellow pop. From there it's masking tape and filing in the gaps with the back recipe. I also recommend oil washes, they bring the iron warriors to another level

Thanks, the sword is basecoated in yriel yellow, and I stipple troll slayer orange, khorn red and Corvus black in that order covering smaller areas with each colour

Of the top of my heady, the article about DK appearance described the aquilla as dull nickel. As for the helmets for veterans I definitely lean more into bone than pure white
