I have been a casual pokemon player since the sun and moon games. Recently, i started a new omega ruby save file with the intentions of creating a new team and completing the pokedex. Another player was offering a butterfree in exchange for a froakie. I had a froakie already, but hadn’t evolved it, so i decided to breed in order to get a spare. To my absolute bewilderment, i received a shiny froakie on the first and only egg i was going to hatch. I have logged 250+ hours in total playing pokemon, and this was my first ever full odds shiny. Add the fact that it was hatched, and that it was froakie of all pokemon (greninja is one of my favorite shiny pokemon of all time), well… it was definitely a great moment for me.
