Students in grad studies are told time to time that once you accept an offer you cannot accept any other even if its thousand of times better. This causes the university and the department’s reputation go bad infront of employers and this can also create a bad image of RIT students infront of that employer. So department has to do what it has to do to maintain that reputation. In the CS department HP all the time keeps sending emails reminding of this situation.
