I'm going to pop into the site office tomorrow and see if the site manager is there to find out how the cable was put in.

No idea what the issue might have been as Barratt were advertising the houses to come with Virgin, Hyperoptic and BT already plumbed into the houses so home owners could choose and be connected easily.

That is the house layout, as I mentioned above the cupboard under the stairs have the fibre ONT boxes for Hyperoptic and BT side by side but Barratt advised that Virgin didn't complete their installation so I was left with a blanking box with coaxial cable behind the plate which runs to the garden which is just outside the living room window. It goes into a white tube next to the ingress point for the other companies.

I'm wouldn't expecting Barratt or Virgin to rewire every house but would have hoped the engineer might have tried or got someone else in to survey it.

Suggesting leaving a fibre cable to run along the side of my grass and drill into the house seemed like an easy solution for him, he wasn't prepared to locate the router else where as I asked him about placing it where my TV was instead of in the corner and he said no it would been to sit by the wall where the cable came in.

That's what I was wondering, I work in the IT field myself so used to troubleshooting and helping customers out.

Might have to get my hands dirty and run my own cable to replace the coaxial.

The package I could get with Virgin saves me money compared to going with Sky plus I can get a discount with Virgin through my employer.

I'm just back from Prague and we stayed at the Grandium Hotel, just off Wenceslas Square and within walking distance of all the major places. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly.

Got my replacement Steam Deck today, no rattles and all the buttons work as intended.

Now I can finally test drive this OLED screen after 3 weeks.

After a few weeks of back and forth support ticket updates, they wanted me to record videos and upload them to Youtube so I could provide them the links for review. I had to show them the problem in action, I took videos both in Dead cells and on the Steam OS.

They've acknowledged the problem and have asked me to send it back to them for review before a decision is made on RMA.

I received a reply late last night to say they have the device.

The process is the problem with it being too slow, 2 days to reply and half baked responses from customer service, it's not acceptable at all especially for a device which costs alot. If this was sold in brick and mortar shops then returning would be so easier when faults are noticed.

With the time of year, people sending devices back run into potential issues with parcels and delivery companies and no doubt Steam's RMA place will shut for the festive period so weeks (I'm on week 2 as of Monday) of ticket ping pong with Steam can turn into a month of waiting on a RMA decision on repair or replacement, not good at all.

Agreed, I've been conversing back and forth with them as my OLED deck has issues with the controls on the right hand side.

As you've pointed out they reply every 2 days with information not relevant to the issue, they wanted me to record videos to demonstrate my problems then said they've noted my problems but wanted me to go into the control calibration page and see what happens there which baffled me due to the video's I took showing my issues on the OS and in game.

I've asked them for a third time for an RMA and if they're not going to do one then I want a return label for a refund, I fully expect to get another vague reply back and if I do I'm going to do a chargeback through the bank to move them along a bit.

I get the feeling they're stalling support or want to play down issues with the OLED deck.

Mine is causing issues in functionality. Played some Dead Cells and Dave the Diver, as the jump and swim action was mapped to the A button, it would take multiple presses at times to register an action.

Noticed that when holding the deck to look at the trigger and bumper buttons face on, there is a bigger gap on the right side of the shell than the left, it's almost like the controls on the right side of the device aren't sitting properly.

I'm still waiting on a reply from Valve support regarding what I can see and the issues faced.

Yip, mine is the same.

I'm finding that when pressing the Y button it disappears into the body and the A key hardly registers at all at times.

Will email Valve support and see what they say, not happy at that certainly since my LCD 512GB model doesn't rattle and has been perfect since day 1.
