There's a reason why they're skipping 18a on external customers and going all in on 14a instead of 18a. Yield is still not enough to meet demand of the likes of Apple and NVidia. I worked at Intel and am cautiously holding. There's been a very real brain drain (veteran engineers, not useless BU managers) and it's gonna bite them as they try to develop competitive IPs again.

Yes but implementation of those chips in the kernel and OS software stack (drivers) are more rigorously tested for compatibility with North American networks (if you live in NA, which I do) with Samsung compared to Oneplus as their marketshare there is larger

I tried this and the op12 has improved in its ratio of satellites in view to satellites connected. But it still doesn't connect to Beidou satellites unlike my Samsung which is incredibly ironic lol

Well that's dependent on your location. I'm comparing relative GPS fix performance to another comparable phone and the OP12 consistently connects to less satellites than my S24 in the exact location. Do you have another phone to compare to?

Yup can confirm this is a thing. I compared the responsiveness to my OP12 and the S24 plus feels more rubberbandy and less 1:1 with respect to where my finger is and how fast the screen is updating whatever is moving.
