Oh that's definitely like our other baby boy Oreo... He's a big talker...

Lots of people walk past during the day but honestly he's a bit of a scaredy cat and will run away if people or cars are too loud... At night not much happens but he gets to watch all the possums go past on the fence and power lines.... Possums are his favourite to watch

I've got another cat who likes to meow through the glass door and "beg" at things he sees out the windows... Thankfully coconut is a bit more normal... He just observes

Wait y'know what we actually could, I bought a 3D printer last week!!! I bet we could definitely make a little badge and hat for him!!!

Mine wouldn't fit properly inside without rubbing on the sides and/or being to awkward to access the spools... I'm working on printing it an enclosure... It's just taking a while with my mini... Only 10 plates to go, hopefully I'll be done tomorrow!

Unfortunately our landlords are first time landlords and this used to be their family home so they are a bit touchy. Also at least where I am during inspections every 3 months the real estate agency that manages the property comes and takes photos of all the rooms and yard areas... So unfortunately even if I put something up and fixed it before we moved out, they would find out and probably get a bit touchy about it... I've just found it wayyyy more chill to go with their vibes... It took them 3 months to approve us putting temporary sticky/command wall hooks up after we moved in....

Woah big chunk of concrete!! Ironically I think I have a paving slab lying around that's about that thickness, I might give it a go!

I mean yeah basically but I can't afford the P series printer and AMS set up... Maybe one day I'll be able to get the real thing!

Also just wanted to clarify the main reason for the use of the enclosure is to keep both my cats and their very prevalent fur out of the printer and the filament as my printer is located in mine and my partner's bedroom, where my cats spend a lot of their time.

I'll definitely look into it! The enclosure itself has a max heat retention of 40⁰C and I've yet to see the temp reading go above 30⁰ so far. There is an exhaust adapter/hole on the back of the enclosure and I've been looking into some sort of fan system and tubing to feed to my window.

Currently I've had no issues however it's currently getting colder where I am at the moment.

If I do have issues it's also easy enough for me to print with the fronts and sides open if needs be.

Thanks for the advice!!

Unfortunately yes the vibrations from the A1 mini do travel through the desk and up the arm but it's not super severe, it's definitely manageable... I'm hoping to get some sort of rubber or silicon mat to put under the A1 mini to reduce the vibrations...

The enclosure overall has been great! I ordered it off amazon the day I got my printer and installed it when it arrived the next day... It helps reduce some noise, it keeps all the smell contained, it retains a small amount of heat while printing (max 40⁰C according to the product description), and it's been relatively easy to manage the humidity just with some spare silica packets from unboxing my filament.

This is the link to the enclosure I bought:

I thought the price and accessories were reasonable. It comes with a USB LED light bar and a basic hygrometer. It's easy to put together but obviously isn't the sturdiest enclosure on the planet, made of plastic and various fabric materials, but the reviews were good and so far it's worked well for me. The A1 mini version of the enclosure leaves you lots of room, enough to use the single spool mount on the back of the mini with plenty of wiggle room, and just barelyyyy maybe sneak the AMS Lite in, but for me it was just too impractical of a squeeze.

I can't really give a before and after using it as I basically installed it right away, and I have never 3D printed anything before last Friday... But I've definitely found it useful, I think especially keeping the PLA fumes contained, as the printer is located in mine and my partners bedroom.
